Being a diehard outsiders fan for 20 years how did I not know this existed???? I’m ashamed in myself but glad I found it now. I am so happy this is a thing and omg those lucky girls. What I would give to have been a teen in the 80s. This was such a good watch. Ugh I loved every second of it and so obsessed with anything that has to do with the greatest movie of all time. nothing will ever beat it
I was born in ‘86 and I’ll never forget my 7th grade teacher Mrs. Minniti chose this book for us to read… changed my life and I’ll never forget it. Going to see the musical and I CANNOT WAIT! ❤️❤️

I remember when this movie first came out on cable and I saw it for the first time. It was on a channel called Prism. I was OBSESSED with them ALL!!!! A few years later Tommy Howell and Juliet Lewis were filming a movie in my hometown and my best friend got to meet and get pictures with Tommy. She said he was so sweet. ❤
This makes me sad. But it also makes me super happy. I so I wish I lived during this time period. Those people are incredibly lucky to get to meet these amazing actors! I would die to get to be the girl that kissed them! LIKE OMG!? Also seeing the part where the movie was over and hearing stay gold made me cry lmao.

@@RichardB.Spencer it’s rare that people my age enjoy older film, I personally prefer older movies - something about them is just so much better. I always try and get my peers to watch movies from the 80s and older, so hopefully there will be more people like me ^_^

How are they being treated like attractions tf? The kids came up to them and just hung out and talked to them like normal human beings instead of all of in their face taking pictures and stuff the guys enjoyed the attention especially they weren’t well known at the time it’s normal for everyone to scream and cheer in the audience and have the guys talk on stage and stuff because they were all excited this was everyone’s first time seeing the film it was an exciting time for everyone
@@blairjane9228 its just celebrities in general. sure it wasnt as bad in the 80s as it is now, but i just feel like even though us fans are jut showing our love, it can get a little frustrating for some celebrities. I just feel like their human rights are not the same as ours sometimes. You cant even go to the grocery store without being treated like a walking picture or something. I dont know I know some celebrities probably dont mind such as c thomas howell and the others, but sometimes I just feel like its probably hard to live that way. Just my opinion you dont have to agree with me.😊

“The Outsiders” is a cinematic masterpiece and quite frankly the best “from book to film” movie I’ve ever seen. I proudly introduced it to my new wife who like me grew up in the 80s, but somehow missed seeing this great film. She loved it and I of course became emotional when seeing it and hearing Stevie Wonder’s “Stay Gold” at the beginning and end credits. A heartfelt movie with great actors in their youth. 🥹🙌🏾❤️

Maybe it's a minority opinion but I feel Matt Dillon should have been bigger and more successful than Cruise or Lowe or any of the rest of them but it didn't turn out that way
I agree. I just watched “The Saint of Fort Washington” earlier tonight and I kept thinking about how much I like Dillon as an actor and how underrated both he and that movie are.

I remember a film "A Kiss Before Dying" he did alongside Sean Young who might be the female counterpart to Dillon in that she was also projected to have a loftier destiny in the industry. @@keremlevitas7539 so I went to Tulsa the one day he went on tour last year in July I was in 7th I'm in 8th now and I went to his concert and I had my own copy of the outsiders so after the concert I asked him to sign it when he was doing autrgphas and I got it signed and took a picture
