The most complete game ever. Hands down, the amount of amazing content in this game was staggering. Fun Campaign Solo/4-Player Co-op, Matchmaking with dozens of modes and new community maps every month, Customizable Firefight Survival, limitless Forge map editor... Just amazing. This had more content than Destiny and most "Current Gen" games combined.
Halo Reach is my favorite gave in the franchise. The story, ganeplay,multiplayer, and community just flowed perfectly to create a masterpiece. Hopefully 343 will one day bring reach dlc to the MCC
I won't want to buy the Master Chief Collection just to get Reach. I would like it to be a separate game but free to the people who had it on the Xbox 360 or PS3. Kind of like what Minecraft did but it was 5 dollars instead of free

I'm sorry I DONT care what anyone thinks but this was by far the BEST halo game in the series. Between the beautiful sound track and excellent story. You really end up feeling like Noble 6 especially the tragic ending.

God of War is worse than GoW2 or GoW3 and with more walking and less combat mechanics. Uncharted 4 is absolutely worse than UC2 in character development, pacing, narrative, and gameplay. The destructible environments ruined the higher difficulties and the level design and excessive climbing were terrible. As for TLoU, I enjoyed it at first but it has aged poorly. Shitty AI, bare bones stealth/shooting abilities, and an overused setting. If it weren't for the voice acting and facial animations the game would be the definition of mediocre.
Deadshot Studios just buy Master Chief Collection on One, dude. It's a great way to introduce new players to the full story of Halo 1-4, besides, it has 1080p/60fps (if i'm not mistaken) for every one of them and remade 1 and 2 games. The only that is kind of lacking is Halo 3. Nonetheless, it has a great value for money it asks.
I actually liked Halo 4. Why does everyone hate it? I am fairly new to the series(Reach was my first Halo) so maybe I'm not as Halo hardened as the rest.

Halo Reach is better due to the fact that the story was more emotional compared to 4 & 5... Reach was ahead of its time when it was first launched... 4 & 5 were kinda basic compared to the genre when they launched... I liked the fluidity of 4 & 5 but they were kinda downgrades there... 4 was fun, but story was horrible and was kinda bare bones... 5 was full of too many micro-transactions... reach was a complete game practically from the getgo w/o the EA touch from 5 and the horrible story of both 4 & 5...

I still find it hard to believe one of Bungie's Crown Jewel's is the least favorite among many fans, i still find it without a doubt one of the best Halo games ever in campaign, multilayer and even Forge. It certainly beats Destiny Ten fold!

I can only imagine what they could've achived if it wasn't tied down to the Xbox 360, as much as I love that console, a full PC port could've been extremely profitable and retained a playerbase for a very long time (as tends to happen on PC), as unlike the Xbox series of consoles, people aren't trading the ability to play it for a hardware upgrade.
Halo Reach was the first halo game I played online back in 2011 and all I can say is its REALLY good i absolutely loved. it not only for campaign or multiplayer but it gave me my most memorable gaming sessions ever all because of the combination of a Good Campaign, Great Multiplayer, and finally a amazing forge world that allowed for TONS of fun.

This is the first Halo game I played and i enjoyed it so much when I started it. I love that you can customize your character's armor for the campaign. Multiplayer is still a ton of fun! I still play this game today! "Like" if you still love this Halo and still play it today.
I felt that this AI was the best ever; they were a lot more aggressive and you could tell the combat diff. for each rank as the enemy ranks get higher!

I remember how excited I was for this game, so much nostalgia. Loading up forge world for the first time was amazing and invasion was a brilliant game-mode. Been a long time since a game gave me so much awe and enjoyment and I sunk so many hours into it in reflection of that, would love a remaster of this and Halo 3, two incredible games.
idk, i think the level designs are pretty subpar. Even more so when compared to halo 3. Reach had some fun ones, but a lot of them felt like they weren't very well thought out. Especially when you throw jetpacks and stuff into the mix. overall id give their maps a 6.5/10
Halo 4 and Halo 5 pale in comparison to this masterpiece. Complainers like to call Reach the beginning of Halo's downfall... I call it the last great Halo game. I don't know why anyone would say Halo 5's multiplayer is better; the Arena maps are forgettable at best, and the gameplay feels random and awkward due to reduce motion tracker range and unnecessary new additions like Spartan Charge. Even with the occasional frustration brought on by Armor Lock, I would still take Halo: Reach's multiplayer over Halo 5's any day of the week.
I'll NEVER understand why Reach got so much hate. I think it was because of the purebred original Xbox gamers didn't like the changes, BUT IT MADE THE GAME SO MUCH BETTER. I loved it when it released and I love it now.
I wish they went back to this system with the customisation where you could earn credits to upgrade your character. Maybe not for campaign because halo 5 has master chief as the main character but perhaps link spartan ops/firefight and multiplayer together.
I would say halo reach is my favorite title. I came into the halo franchise with that game. when I first got the game, you couldn't imagine how excited I was. The whole game for me was LEGENDARY. Every little thing just seemed so god like and amazing. the campaign was great and the multiplayer was better. I remember the good old days I would grind with my friends over Xbox to get that one expensive helmet. My absolute favorite thing in this game was forge world. I dont know what was so good about it, but again, it was just LEGENDARY. It makes me tear up to know that every week, that many more people play reach for the last time. Man now im all hyped up again 7 years after I first played it! if you every want to play with me, im on the 360 and the one. my gt is conswan117. id love to play with people who love the game as much as I did and still do.

I've been playing Halo since the release of Combat Evolved back in 2001, and I personally think this is the best Halo game to date! Halo 4 was ok, but it wasn't Halo... Halo 5 doesn't look any better either... I'm glad I haven't bought an Xbox One yet. For me Halo ended with Reach, when Bungie moved onto Destiny. Which I personally like, despite all the grinding. But nothing will ever replace the original Halo games.
halo reach is also my personal favourite and an direct competitor to halo 4 campaigh,halo 4 's multiplayer is not up to the level of halo reach multiplayer but still the best multiplayer of 2012 for an fps ,and i cant judge the campaighn of reach or 4 ,i personaly liked both and feels that they are the best campanign till now and better from halo 3 campaign ,but due to better multiplayer halo reach is best halo so far.
An amazing game. A moving story, stunning music, all game modes complete and working on release day and it all ran on a console with just 512mb of RAM. That is how its done.
yeah i remember the very first level. the amount of exploring you could do was immense and in my opinion it was the most fun campaign of them all. there was just so much to appreciate in the design of the maps.
My friend lend me his Xbox and his copy of Halo3. I have to say that I've really underestimated the franchise. I was just amazed at how much fun I was having with a game that's released in 2006. Halo Reach looks even more outstanding and has convinced me to buy an Xbox360. The reason I like Reach is because it doesn't really require you to have knowledge of the previous games, and since I'm a new comer to the story, that's a good place for me to start. Plus I love the old school shooter gameplay

***** revisited the game last week ,still has a great amount of players there ,I would say 4,000+ players at its peak now , considering players have been splitting to halo4 on 360 and MCC on Xbox One. I missed the times when reach first came out ,multiplayer was swamped by over 10,000 players.
supersamonhalo I have no idea what you're talking about, when Halo: Reach came out it had way over 10 000 players. 10 000 is a very low number considering a game that has sold over 9,5 million copies. Servers are still populated at around 10 000 players at a given time. Depends on what time you check.
Spartan Darkangel then ,I must be wrong ,i forgot a zero ,might be over 100,000 when it first came out. Last I checked was last month ,on the weekend night ,and it was like 4,000 give or take, dunno the online stats now, i guess people are coming back.

SMASH5X um yes it can. Halo MCC runs 1080p (except halo 2 anniversary) it's at 900p. Battlefield hardline runs at 900p advanced warfare runs at 1080p...

Even with the occasional frustration brought on by Armor Lock, I would still take Halo: Reach's multiplayer over Halo 5's any day of the week.

I'll NEVER understand why Reach got so much hate. I think it was because of the purebred original Xbox gamers didn't like the changes, BUT IT MADE THE GAME SO MUCH BETTER. I loved it when it released and I love it now.

I wish they went back to this system with the customisation where you could earn credits to upgrade your character. Maybe not for campaign because halo 5 has master chief as the main character but perhaps link spartan ops/firefight and multiplayer together.

I would say halo reach is my favorite title. I came into the halo franchise with that game. when I first got the game, you couldn't imagine how excited I was. The whole game for me was LEGENDARY. Every little thing just seemed so god like and amazing. the campaign was great and the multiplayer was better. I remember the good old days I would grind with my friends over Xbox to get that one expensive helmet. My absolute favorite thing in this game was forge world. I dont know what was so good about it, but again, it was just LEGENDARY. It makes me tear up to know that every week, that many more people play reach for the last time. Man now im all hyped up again 7 years after I first played it! if you every want to play with me, im on the 360 and the one. my gt is conswan117. id love to play with people who love the game as much as I did and still do.

I've been playing Halo since the release of Combat Evolved back in 2001, and I personally think this is the best Halo game to date! Halo 4 was ok, but it wasn't Halo... Halo 5 doesn't look any better either... I'm glad I haven't bought an Xbox One yet. For me Halo ended with Reach, when Bungie moved onto Destiny. Which I personally like, despite all the grinding. But nothing will ever replace the original Halo games.

halo reach is also my personal favourite and an direct competitor to halo 4 campaigh,halo 4 's multiplayer is not up to the level of halo reach multiplayer but still the best multiplayer of 2012 for an fps ,and i cant judge the campaighn of reach or 4 ,i personaly liked both and feels that they are the best campanign till now and better from halo 3 campaign ,but due to better multiplayer halo reach is best halo so far.

An amazing game. A moving story, stunning music, all game modes complete and working on release day and it all ran on a console with just 512mb of RAM. That is how its done.

yeah i remember the very first level. the amount of exploring you could do was immense and in my opinion it was the most fun campaign of them all. there was just so much to appreciate in the design of the maps.

My friend lend me his Xbox and his copy of Halo3. I have to say that I've really underestimated the franchise. I was just amazed at how much fun I was having with a game that's released in 2006. Halo Reach looks even more outstanding and has convinced me to buy an Xbox360. The reason I like Reach is because it doesn't really require you to have knowledge of the previous games, and since I'm a new comer to the story, that's a good place for me to start. Plus I love the old school shooter gameplay

***** revisited the game last week ,still has a great amount of players there ,I would say 4,000+ players at its peak now , considering players have been splitting to halo4 on 360 and MCC on Xbox One. I missed the times when reach first came out ,multiplayer was swamped by over 10,000 players.

supersamonhalo I have no idea what you're talking about, when Halo: Reach came out it had way over 10 000 players. 10 000 is a very low number considering a game that has sold over 9,5 million copies. Servers are still populated at around 10 000 players at a given time. Depends on what time you check.

Last I checked was last month ,on the weekend night ,and it was like 4,000 give or take, dunno the online stats now, i guess people are coming back.
