I found the quality of life in the Philippines was the highest of anywhere I have lived. We have a house that is 200 meters from the ocean on the front of the house. Behind the house are trails up into the mountains. My wife and i liked that as much and anything. You could climb the switchbacks and look over the ocean and see the container ships passing by. And some of my wife's relatives were farmers and we could stop and talk to them. We would get up early we could hear the 6 A.M. singing from Morning Mass. They sing with a lot of enthusiasm and it would echo down the valley the road we walking on. If my health held up I would be there still be there.
Sitting in Mactan Waterfront ready to fly back to the states in the morning, I really hate leaving. Cebu has been wonderful and cant wait to get things settled in the states and get back here.
Cebu city is centralized, so it’s possible that you can catch a ferry to other islands and it’s got a major airport if you choose to fly out. Good pick as your living arrangements !

Mike from that Philippines life just posted a video yesterday about a home for sale it looks awesome and I think the cars and scooters go with it! Beach front! Another great video Britt👍👍👍
I appreciate your videos and have been instrumental in helping me to really consider Cebu City as an initial spot to retire in August. Keep up the good work.
Cebu city is an awesome place. everything a guy needs with the ability to explore other places within a few hours and a quick flight to another island. thanks Britt!
It great for locals who live in town with no malls and Jollibee. But City itself has nothing as charming as Mexico City or Bangkok. Much of its historical attraction are mismanaged and the downtown just looks so old and tiring. But Cebu as an island is interesting.
Inspirational Britt, thanks for all the upbeat content. Carefree Chris seems like a great guy too. I thought you were living in Pensacola before you left?
@DinoGithens I lived in downtown Pensacola on Intendecia St. Right beside Juan's Flying Burrito. Lived there for last 6 months of my America stay. The area was awesome. Just wasn't meeting friends. I met lots of acquaintances. Just felt something was missing.
I'm glad to hear that you're happy with your life in the Philippines. I'm single, and I'm from the US. I retired several years ago from my job in the US. I also like the Philippines. I have made several trips to the Philippines in the last 5 years. I have a question? Besides TH-cam, how do you support yourself living in the Philippines?
I've been in Cebu going on 2 yrs , My wife is from Cebu we were married in 2003 and she move to US for 20 yrs got her US citizenship and now we moved back here both retired ,everything in US so expensive ,sold it all and came here ,weather is nice here yr round a little hot but the AC works great . Anyway everything cheaper here , been following your ch for a while now ,you have some good videos. Just watched the trip to tops ,we were up there once nice place, have a good day
Hi Britt, If i may suggest, please try Reacting to Local Cebuano Family band MISSIONED SOULS. I knew this will not be your cup of tea, coz your Channel mainly deals with daily living & the like. Share to us your take of music, opinions & reactions. I'm sure it will tickle your love for musicality. Besides, it might increase your subs. This band is from Talisay City Cebu just a few kms. from where you live. and we'll love to watch if you will do an interview with MS. Thank you. (just a suggestion)

I was in the Philippines for 14 months starting in January 2023. I am learning Spanish now and I’m living in Cartagena. Latin America completely blows the Philippines out of the water. It’s not even close. If you’re in North America and want to re-settle…run…don’t walk to somewhere in Latin America. Not to mention the women are way more genuine and absolutely gorgeous.

Yes! Philippines is the dump of asia for sure. Thailand is heavily polluted… but Singapore is clean because it is a rich country. All those poor countries are dirty, filth 😢
@ Vietnam Hot and humid in summer and rainy season but you can get cooler at some area not like Philippines. Philippines is probably the dirtiest country in Asia. But Philippines English and driving is the same than America and the religion. Vietnam is a poor country and quality of life is not there. To get the quality of life you need to pay.
Solid topic. Unfortunately I feel like you're repeating yourself a lot. A script or outline that you have in eyesight when recording yourself can help you stay on topic. You might also want to consider adding in some b-roll of footage walking around Cebu or from past videos. A 10 min video of just your face can be a bit boring for some people.
Ok, now be careful. Lot's of foreigners went bankrupt in the Philippines. Watch out for your expenses, island life is fun but you will never notice your fun and funds are decreasing day by day. Make sure you have a sustinable income.
There is no place in Philippines to stay for a foreigner. Air pollution is bad, burning garbage, noise, farms animals in and out houses, not much sidewalk, dilapidated buildings, poverty stricken country. Extremely hot and humid weather 😢
Yes there is have a look at the recent video he did of that nice subdivision. Sounds like you lived in the poor part of town. If you have money you can live a great life here. Sounds like you're better off staying in that negative place you're in lol
