My grandfather was born in Lahore but during the time of partition, they had to leave their house for the sake of their lives. They also survived many days under a train, they slept on a railway track. He still has blurred memories .Partition was such a tough time. We all should be grateful and thankful to our freedom fighters and army for securing our lives.

My Aaji ji was born in Kolkata. But due to communal violence in 1942 ,she was forced to leave because of her dignity and my great grandfather's murder. After that her uncle brought her to her ancestral house in Bhagalpur. And after she got married off to my Dadaji and came to UP. But till the her last breath, she enjoyed Bangla Music and Bangla culture. She left Kolkata but kolkata didn't left her till the end.
Thanks for bringing this story to us, partition of India was a darker side of India's independence.. and people who lost their lives irrespective of any religion, all of their souls may rest in peace.. 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳jai hind

There was an exhibition near our house on "Partition Horror Remembrance Day". Me along with my father and sister went to the exhibition and there was so much to see about. And everyone knows the freedom fighters but the people who lost everything in the partition are equally important to remember💔
