Just to give you a tip the loading screen gives you too... in the Garages is always a map, which shows you some point of intererests. Like gas stations, garages, junkyards =)
The clutch plate fell off when you took the old pressure plate off, it fell through the ground, you need to put the clutch plate laying on the ground in.

At the moment where you detached the clutch pressure Plate from your new block and walked to the old block to get the better clutch pressure plate, the actual Clutch dropped and disappeared into the ground. Thats why you didnt attached it again. But maybe you have seen this after this Video and still fixed it ;)

Whenever you get to the garage is you need to look for the map the map will show you other garages so you can get further in the survival

I'm new to this game, what Engine would say is the overall good one to use on most of vehicles
For cars the red one. For the smallest cars the VW engine. Pickup the small diesel. But honestly all engine work fine.
