    I remember reading about the Kalmyks in an old Russian geography book, I didn't think there were any European Buddhists. The language and history interested me, Elista is a nice city and I like chess too. Then I found out about the New Jersyian Kalymks, which made me even more interested. They have managed to maintain their language and culture so far from home. Very cool people, thank you for making this video.

    Kalmyks supported Germany during world war 2
