Transcript...
It’s 10:00 p.m. and we're in Juneau [Alaska] and we just got done with our Sunday Mass schedule in Anchorage… Sung Mass, potluck, catechism, everything… and now here we are getting ready for our flight to go to Sitka.
Every weekend a curious migration occurs. From all across the United States, unlikely characters leave their homes and residences to travel. They are Roman Catholic priests of the Society of Saint Pius X journeying to bring Christ in the sacraments to the faithful over the farthest reaches of the continent - places like Sitka, Alaska.
Now the [SSPX] missions, like Alaska, the Alaskan mission, it's very remote physically. Just look at the map you see right away it's - even when people talk they refer to the “lower 48” when comparison comparing to Alaska in relation to other states of the United States. And so that mentality, socially speaking even amongst people here, it's reflected for our work - for the church, for the Latin Mass - because it's again to get here it's a little extraordinary.
At the very beginning of creation, that is the only command that God in fact. To go and procreate and some subdue the earth. If you think about it, it's the one that's really attacked the most in the world. To attack the family, to attack children… but God has given us the means to try and of course do our part in the family life and in the sacramental life… our Lord Jesus Christ becoming incarnate…
It's very clear that it's God's Will that the priest be there with the faithful from beginning to end. From baptism until death. He has willed to include the priesthood in the continuation of his act of sanctification, the act of redemption, from baptism through all the sacraments - penance absolution, Communion, last rites, all these things. God wills to give his grace in a conditional way. We must do our part and then God gives the blessing.
[Latin] …Domine, non sum dignus ut intres sub tectum meum, sed tantum dic verbo et sanabitur anima mea.
Corpus Domini nostri Jesu Christi custodiat animam tuam in vitam aeternam. Amen.
To bring our Lord to the Faithful, to bring them the Mass, bring them the Sacraments; sacrifice, have to do our part.
Pray for my intentions please… I will and thank you Father for the Holy Mass, I appreciate it. No worries okay, God bless.
Soul of Christ sanctify me…
Just living up here in a faraway place, these priests are travelling long distances, sometimes from the East Coast all the way to Alaska, which is, you know, a good 12 hours by plane - and they get here, they pretty much, their feet touch the ground, they're saying Mass, they’re hearing Confessions - this is a chapel that has waited an entire month for a priest, and suddenly, you know, everyone needs to go to Confession, they need Sacraments there are Baptisms, sick calls to make …and their time is very limited and they sacrifice every moment of that time.
What we discovered when came to this parish was the Traditional Mass - the Mass of when I was seven, when I received my First Communion at the Communion rail. Over the years, going to the Novus Ordo Mass, we became quite disillusioned and we eventually quit going in about 2000-2001 time frame, and didn't go back to Mass until 2013, when we discovered the Society.
My profound thanks to the priests and to the to the laity, you know, that are involved with the Society. I could have gone to my grave with this, you know, wretched gruel that they have been feeding all of us in the Novus Ordo… and instead it was like walking down a dark hallway and you see a little door open and you see some light coming out, and there's a room full of treasures in there.
My name is Katherine Gluth. I live in Sitka, Alaska - small island, remote in Alaska. There are quite a few priests that have gone on missions to Alaska. Father Wegner, Father McDonald, Father Stanich, Father Portugal. They are obviously going to be in and out of the airports traveling, which, that alone is a huge burden, getting through TSA, dealing with late flights or no flights or cancellations - so the priests getting here, you know, they do have to go through a lot; they have to put a lot of work in and a lot of time in to make it to us… and that, for us, you know, makes us appreciate every bit of it even more.

THE SSPX, WILL SAVE THE CATHOLIC FAITH. FINDING THE SSPX HAS SAVED ME FAITH AND SOUL. THANK YOU!!
So very grateful for the SSPX.
God bless this wonderful work. May he bless the priests, the faithful and all people of good will. Greetings from Germany.
I lived in Alaska for 23 years. We went to the Byzantine Rite in an effort to avoid the Novos Ordo. When we found the SSPX in Alaska, mass was held in a small home that had a congregation of roughly 25. My family of 10 showed up to mass and displaced half the congregation from seats to standing. We felt so bad. The mass was moved to the location shown in this video and we felt more at home when there was more room. We loved Alaska, but it was not the best place to raise our children (lack of quality people for friends and future spouses). We attended the mass once a month (very much appreciated), but we could do better. With the blessing of Father McDonald, I changed my job, sold my home, and moved the crew to Walton, KY. We have daily mass, a strong Catholic community, wonderful schools, and we are blessed with wholesome environment for my children. I am grateful to the SSPX and God for helping us. It has been a great sacrifice for me to leave Alaska, but the right call for our souls.
I am Catholic, and I can see that you are the hope for the Church. God bless the SSPX.
Fr Adam Portugal. I very good Man/Priest.
So grateful for our SSPX priests, Grace from God.
We need more SSPX priest and Churches here in Indonesia.....

God BLESS our SSPX PRIEST, without them.. we would LOST into Modernism ❤✝🙏
Amen! Deo gratias!
I have been a recipient of the SSPX traveling priests, both from being in a remote location in Australia, and now as a disabled pensioner. A priest brings me the sacraments each month. God bless the SSPX!
It warms my heart to know that there are such dedicated Traditional priests bringing us our sacraments. It stiffens my spiritual backbone, and instills in me a sense of gratitude.
its so beautiful...priests who are not afraid to have cassock, to be priests. they are exemplar for every modern priests, who prefer tshirts, jeans not the catholic clothes
Real Roman Preists Thank you dear Preists of the SSPX May God Bless you all .
Father Portugal served Holy Mass at our New York City mission three weeks ago. We were informed that he travels to Alaska from Oregon to administer the Sacrements. After viewing this beautifully presented video, we can now fully appreciate the dedication, and hard work that the FSSPX priests are called upon to fulfill their calling and roles. Words fail to live up to our inestimable gratitude. Thank God for the FSSPX!
Our good SSPX priest travels from Dickenson TX to San Antonio TX every weekend (and for holy days of obligation) to say mass in our SSPX Chapel. I wish we could have a full time Priest so we can work together to plan the new chapel. Deo gratias!
This is so beautiful. God bless the SSPX priests and the people here.
We love our SSPX Priest we value them the most!
I love that on his breviary he had the miraculous medal.
As time goes on, we will see that we owe everything to the Archbishop and to the society.
This is so beautiful ❤️ God bless
God bless the SSPX
I pray for a Society priest daily.
Invite one and start a congregation
Fr. Portugal. Best priest ever. Will have to get him back to Ireland.
In a quiet hidden, yet visible way God is renewing the Church not from the top down, but from the bottom up. God bless the SSPX.
God bless these holy Priests and God protect the Society
God blesses M Marcel Lefebvre and the SSPX priests
Your reward awaits you. Praise be to God.
Very beautiful
Now what we need more than ever are men who are single to sit down and PRAY and ask God, "am I worthy to be called to your holy and eternal priesthood? Will you call ME to say the Mass of all time? The Mass of the Saints?"
Many years ago Fr. Post from Our Lady of Sorrow in Phoenix, Arizona would drive to Sacramento and other cities on the weekends to say Mass and offer confession. The priests of the Society of St Pius X cannot be accused of laziness. They take their responsibilities as all priests should. God bless you guys.
Praise God that you do this for Our Blessed Lord! Hallelujah! Elizabeth , a member of the SSPX in District of Great Britain.
I am working towards earning more so I can give the SSPX more and regularly. Please say a prayer for my art work to sell well for the sake of the Society for Our Lord.
+ Jesus and Mary and Joseph +
Amen

God bless the SSPX, the FSSP and the Institute of Christ the King
'Wretched gruel' of the Novos Ordo is spot on. I only discovered Tradition Christmas '18. It was like coming home; in from the cold. Just over a year now and on our Sundays and Holy Days we happily take the long country drive to the Holy Fathers of Holy Cross Seminary in Australia. What a privilege to pray with the priests, brothers and seminarians in this sacred holy space. No mass in the NO compares to this and now at 64 I mourn that I did not have the guidance of priests like these to teach me the Faith. All the pieces of the puzzle fall into place. No gray wishy washy feel good hippy speak....just sensible grounded wisdom of the ages - timeless lessons as revealed by Christ. I ask myself over and over again why they took this sacred reverential sacrificial ancient holy Mass from us? Why did they throw away the catechism for the rubbish of Modernist Humanism? I knew nothing of the politics of Vatican II nor of the infiltration of the communists, Globalists, Free Masons and Power Elite into the Vatican but I did know things did not feel right so when I heard the word 'Tradition' I went to google to find out what this meant and to my delight discovered the mass of my child hood was within reach. Too few Catholics know of Tradition or the existence of the Latin Mass. People need to know the difference between the Truth as revealed by Christ and heresy. It is starting to get scary with how crazy the Global agenda is progressing with the Pope seeming to be more of a communist than a Catholic. Share the joy, the reverence, the reality of what it's like to pray with the SSPX Fathers who bring us the Catholic Faith with Jesus alive and vibrant as the figure head and teacher for us all. The timeless structure, discipline, Sacrifice and beautiful prayers of the Tridentine Mass bring you to the reality of Jesus in the Eucharist unlike any other form. The NO may as well be a protestant mass for there is so little difference. Godbless all the FAthers of SSPX and especially ArchBishop Lefebvre who stood steadfast to protect the Faith and knew what a precious pearl it was. Return to Tradition and discover what the One True Holy CAtholic Apostolic Church really is and how it will give you the Christ centre focus that has been missing from your life . Dominus Vobiscum.
Im from argentina, and I feel the same "It was like coming home; in from the cold".... that exact same feeling
Beautiful said. I am a Canadian who was born in 1970, I went to Catholic School from grade 1 to 12, and I did not learn the true faith. I had never experienced the Latin Mass until 2018, yet I also felt as though I had returned to my true home. I am so grateful to Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre for all that he did and went through to preserve the true Mass for us all.
God bless SSPX
More Power, Strength, and good health to all SSPX Priest around the world

I LOVE THIS!!! I've been to Alaska several times and LOVE SITKA!!! My if I was younger I'd move there! Especially knowing that there are SSPX priests that come! God Bless and I am going to start to give something to help out!
Deo gratias!! Blessings from Germany :)🙏🏻
Glory be given to the God Almighty!
Thank you for this great video on your Mission and vocation.
We would give a lot more than a dollar a day to have a good SSPX Priest come see us once a month or ONCE A YEAR!! We would feed him well and pay for his airline ticket and give him a private residence to stay in by himself. We would meet him at the airport and drive him to other places in our area as well!!!!!!
I wonder why the Priests in Santiago Chile can not do this ONE TIME A YEAR?
Oh Lord Jesus hear the cry of your faithful children in the South of Chile and send us a good and holy SSPX Priest!
My sincere prayers for their growth
Amazing work! I am from Brazil and when I have the opportunity I attend in the Fsspx's (SSPX) mass.
Thanks fraternity for all of your effort to bring Christ, Tradition and the Trinity Mass in nowadays.
Hail Mary!
Thank you to all the priests who sacrifice so much to bring us the Traditional Catholic Latin Mass and sacraments each week! May Our Heavenly Father reward you for all your efforts and constant sacrifices. God Bless You All!
What ever you may think about this man’s faith and beliefs, one has to admire this priests devotion, love and commitment to the people he cares for.
This is the Room full of treasures!! Thank you and God bless you Father.
Wow! These are heroic workers in the Lord’s vineyard! May God richly reward them for their labors with a crown of never ending glory!
God bless you all. greetings from Sicily italy
This video is so beautiful. I can’t wait for my vocation.
What a beautiful representation of the SSPX. This is what has been needed to get out to the public the wonderful work of the Society.
I never realized how very blessed I am to live in a city that has the traditional Roman Catholic Mass daily and 3 Masses on Sunday. Even when or pastor is traveling to do Mass in other States and cities another priest will come into hear confessions and do Mass. God bless all of the traditional Catholic priest for all that they do.
Lord God, grant us many Holy Priest. Amen.
Beautifully done. Please do more of these documentary style films. Very touching.
I am so happy to hear about this. I've been praying for someone who works in AK. I will keep SSPX Alaska mission in my prayers. 🙏🏻Thank you for posting this ❤
