I've beaten the definitive edition for the second time as of now, and I love this version of the song. My heart feels full of strength like when I listen to The Meaning of Birth from Tales of the Abyss.
ToV was the best damn one of the series! The characters were more interesting, instead of being inexperienced kids (not all but most of them), the characters knew what had to be done and did it. There was no second guessing! And the story was amazing! And sure Yuri and Rita were broken, but it allowed for me and my buds to have a combo competition to see who got the highest. ToV 2 or even just release of the PS3 version would be great, with all the content! But for a sequel, I wonder how they would do the artes without blastia, but I would definitely love to see how they pull it off. I guarantee they would make a damn good profit!

Played this game 6 years ago. Halfway through my 2nd playthrough, my XBox RROD'd. Reunited last week when I got my hands on a PS3... I am a happy, teary-eyed man.

@TheRaysohn Exactly. Troy Baker, who is Yuri, stated they needed more voice clips. Which is exactly why only the 360 version was released in America. They did have some of the voice clips, which are the 'Unused Hi-Ougis' in English. They put them on the 360 disk, and people from TH-cam posted them.
Technically, this is the last song you hear in "the game". Then it's the ending anime cutscene, then the credits, which are both animated XD. "We're countin' on you, boss!"
What really pissed most TOV fans though was the ps3 version not be locilised. All that extra content that we never got! Flynn was ment to be a party member in the 360 version! But they scarped him and left him only for the story! They aren't gonna bring it over though they think it won't make enough money, but boy they are wrong.
Tales of Phantasia, the first tales game (and arguably best, uncensored translation ftw) takes place chronologically after Tales of Symphonia, so check it out if you like that world.
actually, that shouldn't be a problem because its quite obvious that this game is a prequal to the entire series. explaining things like the birth of the spirits and mana, the separation of humans and elves (the krityans), and the chosen who is essentially a decendant from the children of the full moon. So it would be very possible for the characters use powers through the use of mana and fight to protect the world they created.

I don't think they will, I mean I would love a TOV2 simply because they had changed the way the world works, I want to know how it works! Maybe they were staying away from sequels at the time since Dawn of the new world tanked... the time periods do match up.

Look at the original comment. I was explaining that, outside of direct sequels, there are no connections between the worlds of the Tales of Universe OUTSIDE Phantasia and Symphonia.
@killermario100 I highly doubt there will be a second game, but since a dub of First Strike was announced for next year it could mean they're setting us up for a probably porting of the PS3 version which has way more stuff than the Xbox version.
this is my all time fav tales game. Awesome characters. An okay-ish plot. But the characters are more developed than some of the other tales characters
Sequel/Prequel game now! lol, I for one thought that ToS2 and ToD2 were good games. ToS wasn't QUITE as good as the first, but worth the buy nonetheless. So a ToV2 would be awesome, though I'd settle for ToV1.5 downloads for 360 :D

Ha ha ha... I'm currently obsessed with a few songs that come out a while ago... ex. tales of the abyss, symphonia, and disgaea... I've gotten a couple of games and have played through some... I wouldn't mind only gettin' the cd, for an old game, cause... well.... It's a pain to find one with it... I guess this is "divine" punishment for not buying it earlier than that... The only worlds that are conected outside of direct sequels are Phantasia's and Symphonia's, Symphonia precedes Phantasia by thousandsof years. The rest is using the FF model of having NOTHING to do with eachother.

+pronk4 A bit short? are you for real? o.o Me and my friend got a good 200-300 hours on this game, of course over multiple playthroughs. That being said the first playtrough took somewhere close to 50 hours, but the following ones all ranged between 20-35 hours It might be considered short if you rush the main story, but that sounds like a immense waste as there is so much extra content.
@valiantvyse however, all that bullcrap about the centurions, the hidden compartments in the summon spirits' rooms just makes it more of a spin off, don't you think!?
Do explain why XIllia can't be considered a mothership title? It's made by the main team of what used to be Tales Studio and it was given the budget of a mothership title. In the end, the most complete title namco ended upmaking an Escort title (that was developed by them I mean) was Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk/Dawn of the new world. Tempest was made by a different developer altogether and every other Escort game is either a hero cameo game, or too different,likeEternia Online, or TalesMobile
You're forgetting Tales of Destiny. ToD2 was set about 18 years later of so, and still had most of the characters from the original. (Although the REAL ToD2 wasn't released in the US, but Tales of Eternia was renamed to ToD2 due to copyright stuff

Well, I bought a 360 for the hell of it. But Vesperia was one reason. The PS3 version has the lowest chance of coming here in the U.S.. Think about it, Tales of Symphonia [PS2 version] Japan only. the great thing about tales games is they just take the main theme and remix it a bunch of ways, and every single version still sounds amazing.
