So, what does a truck dispatcher do? Truck dispatchers are responsible for finding and booking loads, load and trip planning, customer and driver support, contingency planning, and various other administrative duties. These tasks ensure that loads are delivered efficiently, safely, and on time.
To become a truck dispatcher in Canada, you'll need at least a high school diploma or equivalent. One option is to start out as a trucking company clerk or in a similar administrative role. You can also consider internships or entry-level positions, or consider getting certified in a trucking software or tool.
Overall, a career as a truck dispatcher offers a wide range of opportunities and challenges, and the demand for skilled dispatchers is always high. If you're ready to start a rewarding career in the trucking industry, consider becoming a truck dispatcher in Canada.
