GAIA at HOTA - Hear from artist Luke Jerram

Internationally renowned and touring artwork GAIA by UK artist Luke Jerram will make its Australian East Coast premiere on the Gold Coast in October 2020 at HOTA, Home of the Arts.
In this video, Luke talks about creating this incredible work. His stunning installation captures the beauty and fragility of planet Earth. In 2020, a time where people are overwhelmed, this captivating artwork creates a welcoming and gentle space.
A companion installation to Luke’s work Museum of the Moon, seen on the Gold Coast during Festival 2018, Gaia is a seven-metre wide detailed replica of the Earth as viewed from space, which will be suspended from HOTA's Outdoor Stage.

Luke Jerram’s multidisciplinary practice involves the creation of sculptures, installations and live arts projects.
