    I bought one today and was looking for some experienced insight. Good stuff! Great content!

    Thanks for the explanation for the lighter action spring to cycle lighter loads. I have a few MOA parts (trigger spring and matchsaver), but wasn't sure about the spring.
    I reload my own 1⅛oz shells so I can easily experiment with making a 1oz load that functions properly with a lighter action spring.

      With the action spring and polishing the outside of the factory mag tube (where the spring rides) you can easily make 1oz loads run. You can probably go even smaller, but you start to sacrifice power for knocking down steel at that point. For me 1oz is ideal

    With the extended magazine tube, what case do you use for transport?

  • @DrSundogg
    @DrSundogg 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just got one and it is nice. The front of your trigger guard is "scallop" cut to guide the shell into the loading port. Did you do that or buy a trigger guard with the cut? Mine did not come like that.

      I bought this gun used and it was like that. Check moa precision, or briley, they may have one you can purchase like that.

    Hi there what is the wrap that you have over the grip area? Is it useful/helpful? Thank you

    • @michoutdoors4961
      @michoutdoors4961  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s actually not a wrap, it’s stippling. It was done by previous owner. I forgot to mention it in the video.

      Just helps with tackiness. I like it. Although I may swap this handguard out for an m-lok rail eventually

    Question? The grip tape. Did you apply. Or brought it that way. If you applied. A link? Type/brand?

    • @michoutdoors4961
      @michoutdoors4961  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It actually isn’t grip tape, it’s a stipple job. I’m not sure who did it, the previous owner of the gun had it done

      @@michoutdoors4961 Sorry I actually read that after posting it from another's post you replied to. Thanks for the reply. I will attempt some grip tape to see how it feels and looks. Yours looks great.

    Is the loading port on the mk3 the same as the freedom? Thanks

    • @michoutdoors4961
      @michoutdoors4961  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I know the loading ports are the same. The main difference is that the standard mk3 is 4+1 and the freedom edition is I believe 10+1 stock
      If all you need is 10+1 then the freedom is fine. But if you want any other size tube (I would recommend 12 or 13+1 for 3-gun) then get the standard version and upgrade the tube
      You’ll want to upgrade the follower either way as well, the stock one is problematic with extended tubes

      @@michoutdoors4961 they seem good value for money against what the benelli m2 at £1400 here in UK and practical ready. Thanks for your review though I like the recoil spring upgrade you did for lighter loads. I've also heard about the extractor swap it for a benelli m2 one.

      Cool thanks for checking it out! My understanding is that the extractor upgrade is a good idea for durability. I plan on swapping when this one breaks.
      It’s an awesome value shotgun. Hope you enjoy it!

    • @michoutdoors4961

      I think the kits are $80 + shipping. I would probably want to get $50-60 depending on shipping. There’s probably less than 200 rounds on it, so other than a little mark where the barrel clamp was it’s basically brand new.

      You will need the longest version of the bag. 52” maybe? I can’t remember. It will be tight with the limb saver. Probably have to go in diagonally.

    • @michoutdoors4961
      @michoutdoors4961  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      And actually the tube may still stick out slightly. This +9 tube in the video barely fit (no limb saver), I’ve actually switched to a +8 setup since the video (I wanted a blue tube :) ) and that fits much better. I still think you might be able to make it fit with the limb saver, but I wouldn’t say it’s a sure thing
