    Lefty!!! IDC this is 2years old. Being a lefty and new to guitar (@50) this is exactly what I like to see. Hope for cool stuff for us kooky southpaw six stringers!

    My mom….. god rest her soul played classical. She was right handed. She handed me her guitar when I was 8. I’m left handed .
    I’m now 62 and I’ve always played right handed and currently play a 1970 d35
    I always tell people when the subject comes up. “ the greatest gift my mom ever gave me was handing me a right handed guitar. The second was explaining compound interest

    Dammit Jeremy, why couldn’t you have uploaded this yesterday when I was still in NoVA? Haha, I’ll definitely have to go check out these lefties if there are any left next time I’m back home. Great video, thanks for giving southpaws some love :)

    The intonation will need to be checked on the 1971 D-28L. Not all 1970's Martin's were afflicted with intonation issues, but a lot were. It was something about a bad bridge placement template being used at the Martin Factory. Nice video for the Lefty's in the crowd!.

    I’m a lefty and the first electric I bought was an Ibanez. They didn’t have any made so the guitar shop gave me a righty to have for a couple of months while I waited. It’s kind of hilarious, but I’d bet most lefties are pretty good at playing righties upside down because that’s usually all we see. It was great to see a righty playing a nice guitar upside down. I am collecting boutique lefties to hopefully share with other lefties that have never had the chance to play a quality acoustic. Love your channel!

    YES Jeremy, I definitely can sympathies with the statement in your video "that leftys have it harder than rightys!! I'm a lefty and recently received my lefty 5 string banjo after an eight and a half month wait! Now off to get a Taylor guitar lefty (another long wait) too. Good luck to all you left hander's.

    Did your friend purchase the guitar?
    If so how much did he pay. If you brokered the deal and your friend allows it , you should do a follow up video of the aftermath, ur final inspection and set up of the guitar and have ur friend give a few comments of the deal from his point of view.

    Hey, Jeremy! I was always curious on how you would tune a guitar using harmonics. Can you do a tutorial on that? Much appreciated!

    • @ronilgiobertbanadera7692
      @ronilgiobertbanadera7692 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      update: It's called pitch harmonics tuning or something related. I looked it up on TH-cam and there's a tutorial. Now i can tune my guitar perfectly, I've tried to confirm my tuning with an android tuner after i tuned with my ear and it's pretty accurate. Thanks for showing this guitar tuning skill.

    The title got me wrong footed. I was expecting a Cold War plot where the Pentagon tried to stack guitars in case the balalaika's invaded us.
    Of course these guitars would have been new back then. They became vintage by doing nothing for a long time. The same way I became vintage

      @@JeremySheppard please read this. A Martin Washburn collaboration from Patrick County VIRGINIA. In about 1853 John Martin left Patrick County with his family, 3 brothers, father in law and slaves with ox pulled carts and settled in Morgan county Missouri. The Martin Hotel is on the National Historic Landmarks list. In 1867 John T. Washburn followed after being a P.O.W. as a confederate corporal. He married a Martin daughter and they were my great grandparents I never met.
      I do have a Martin D18GE and a Washburn Tanglewood I bought about January '84.
      I just thought you might find this interesting. Good luck with your new ventures. I almost feel guilty watching now that you want paying members. It's pledge time at my church and my poor vision keeps me from working so I may go back to cigar box guitar videos. They're very fun to play and teach me much about theory (playing them). God bless you. Thank you.

    Martin D-28 1971 is $6,000? oh, man, it values about $2,500~3,000. No adjustable tross rod, and just east indian rosewood back and side not brazilian. too pricey.

    • @JeremySheppard
      @JeremySheppard  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it was right handed, sure, but it's pricey to be lefty. This one was so clean. It sold for $4,000. I think that's a good deal.
