Yo Jerry great video brother….. you found some good pieces again I see….. thanks so much for takin the time to show us…. Have a great rest of your weekend stay safe out there I’ll catch you soon😊
Awesome finds, buddy!!! I hit an antique store on my way home yesterday, and found a couple gems too. Got an old USA made Remington four inch stockman that I restored today, and I am really digging that knife. Also got a USA made Gerber Gator large lockback that just needed some sharpening, barely paid anything for it. And the last one that I found was a USA made Old Timer 108OT junior stockman brand new in the clam pack!!! I was over the moon! Cheers, buddy!
Hey Jerry, fantastic finds! But first let me say that Sarah’s leatherwork is looking amazing, wow 🤩. I really like that Hammer Brand Barlow. The clip blade really reminds me of my Ka Bar Barlow👌. And man, 10:19 the MOP Cattaraugus is a real 💎. Thanks for sharing these!
Thanks very much for checking them out!! I should had taken some before pics of the CAT cause it was a ball of dirt and rust.. I sent the Barlow to knife delights and the Toothpick to Terry's Knives & Man Stuff.. She appreciates the kind words as well, it means a lot to her.
Awesome brother! Love them old knives! Great find on the cattaraugus! That hammer brand looks great too! I love to find old knives in their boxes. Awesome finds for sure! Have a great week brother!
Dang brother, you did super great at the flea markets this week for sure!!!! Man that's a magnificent slip Sara made for Andrew's knife 🔪 Hot dang 25 pound lasagna 😋.....lol
All I can say is WOW !!! That was a great haul you have there. That little easy open was best of show, good thing the seller didn't clean up the tang stamp😂😂😂😂😂
It was good to see you guys yesterday. The flea market never disappoints. That Cattaraugus is a score. I ended up getting another Remington from Lee. A R-1253. NIB with the papers for $60. At another booth i found a Chicago Cutlery stockman with wood covers for $20. It is made in USA and maybe made by Camillus because it has the long pulls.
Great finds BigJ that MOP Cattaraugus is a fine example of early 20th C knifemaking. The 1976 Queen Mountain Man was the first year ever that Queen offered it. They had 3 versions with brass vs SS differentiating the first 2 versions. Version 3 used what they called Tiger Stripe Buffalo Horn covers, real beauties. All three have the unique Q '76 tang stamp used exclusively for the bicentennial year. Thanks for showing us your haul buddy.
Hammer Brand tang stamp with the vertical usa stamped on the tang is from 1945-1955. Sweet looking barlow and toothpick. I love toothpicks, i picked up a Hammer Brand Mini Toothpick with a tang stamp dating from 1938-1941. All the knives are sweet.
I saw that slip on IG but didn't know it was yours that's awesome I think I even said that in IG. Oh 1976 is my birth year good stuff and thank you for sharing brother. I try to search for broke knives. I like redoing them. Have a good day my friend
76 is by birth year as well!! My wife made the slip for Andrew so we will be shipping this set off to the next person shortly!! Thanks for checking it out and have a great Sunday!!
Great video Jerry! Makes me wanna hit the flea markets! I went to blade show to meet the guys and go after. Peanut butter and jelly 6375. They sold out of the 75 really fast at the SMKW booth! Not in stock on the website either. But after my luck with new internet Case knives over the last year, I think I’m gonna try to hold off till I can put my hands and eyeballs on one! Have a great week brother!
Thanks very much for checking it out, I agree that it’s best to buy in person or a well advertised secondary market with lots of pics!! Hopefully someone can get you a good 75!!
👍💪
