These boys must really admire Jamie because through every performance they always look at him in serious awe and admiration. In fact they all look at each other that way. It really is heart warming. Matt wasn't wrong when he said natural chemistry in the audition. It's unbelievably beautiful to watch!
I´m watching it in February 2023 and couldn´t agree more with you! I also had noticed the affection they have they they look at each other in admiration and encouragement, maybe... I only came to know this group recently, and have seen their very first audition dozens of times!
After having sung in a group for several years you are taught to turn and look at the person saying giving them your attention so as not to distract from them. I wish I knew each one of their names but I have yet to find some place where I can see that they've been introduced by name. A couple of them have a lot of power in their voice and that definitely adds to the group I really like this group!
Being from a choir of only 9 people I have an ear for all the parts that are present. And with this group you can hear each part and putting them together makes a perfect choral performance! It makes me want to cry with how beautiful this is! Glad I found it!:)
I honestly don't think I have ever heard anything as beautiful as this group. I have watched Stars from Les Mis over and over and cry every time. They are exquisite together and all are so handsome.
So well scripted. They seamlessly switch to one another. Their voices complement one another, and their harmony is simply beautiful. The song, and accompaniment are simply marvelous!!!
3 of them have the deeper more sonorious voices and two of them the softer lighter weaker voice but they complement each other perfectly it is a pure joy to listen to them.
The weaker so called voices are the ones killing the harmony in the background and are invaluable. They provide the range and they sound amazing obviously their own too
I've only discovered this group a month or so ago while watching back episodes of BGT. What thorough delight it was to listen to the harmonies and arrangements they have accomplished. This is the best version of 'A Thousand Years' I've enjoyed. And, I could understand all the words! Kudos to you, Collabro!

One of the benefits of finding you three years after you first hit the scene is I have a bevy of videos to view and enjoy for the first time. And, then, later, a second. A third. A fourth.
I saw your audition at BGT. It was so inspiring, I fell in love with your voices . Now I keep playing your videos because the song was sung beautifully and it touches my heart. You are all cute.

Another beautiful hit record and just in time for Christmas and their tour. My favorite part is when Michael has his solo part in the beginning, and what a lovely job he does, and then the boys break into some of the best harmonizing they've done, in my opinion.
I'm a cynical old man, rapidly approaching retirement, with memories dating back to the best (and worst!) of the 60's...and everything since... When you're harmonising at your best, then you're truly the very best I've ever heard...I can't help but love what you do, but you still have (at least in these videos) some consistency problems to overcome, because IMHO you're not always at your best... That's presently forgiveable because of the relatively short length of time you've been together...I do hope you get it really together soon though, because I believe you have it in you to be worldbeaters...good luck and thanks for bringing joy into my life...
+cogidubnus1953 the 60s is pretty much the best example when you want to talk about harmonies, most music from the 50s and 60s was groups singing in beautiful harmony. i agree they still have things to work on, but they are fortunate enough to be so natural talented that i only expect good things to come from them. they are very good and i love how different they are from most modern music

Bambina Fernandez My biggest fear. If they stay together they will be cast in the same light as the 3 Tenors. Their voices still hasn't even peaked yet and won't until they are around 32 to 35. So much growth in such as small about of time. Tom and Michael has grown the most. Richard's voice is so pure and with Jamie's added coaching, a US saying, "Kate, bar the door", OMG. Jamie's range continues to amaze me. Richard, Jamie and Matt doesn't have a weak spot between the registers which is amazing at their ages. Tom is really smoothing out his high register with such pure tones. Michael's growth and been the largest, but I feel it is just believing in himself and knowing he belongs. Just an old opera's singers view point. .
I just gotta say that their voices make an emotion well up in my chest that nearly brings tears to my eyes. I could just say "I love them", but it's not really that. I'm awed and impressed and I feel like I could hug every one of them and just say thank you for being their amazing selves. Thank you for making amazing music and making me so friggin happy. *hugs all of Collabro*

I can't describe how beautiful and pure voices these talented young men possess. If my dad were alive, he would love the music (and he would be well over 100 years old). I come from a place where we celebrate all types of music (New Orleans).

Unfortunately what you have said has come true. Jamie (the tall dude) became a diva and the outfall was that Richard (the shorter one with the beard) had no choice but to leave the group (mid 2016). But Richard is doing very well as a solo performer. The other four are still performing as successful group.
So are all together except Richard? Jamie seemed to have had musical theater experience earlier on, and as maybe the only baritone was the likely candidate for the big head.
They all have such different voices, and sound great together. Michael has the voice that sounds most like one used in show music, or musical theater as it is called.
