    people can post millions of negative comments about the king... but he will always be loved and admired by his people... not a single leader of a country on Earth today is as loved, admired, and respected by his people than the thai king.. +Greetings from California+

      With a law like Lese-majeste, who will say they don't respect the king? People don't want to die or get in jail . Love and respect should be earned, not forced!

    its really difficult to explain why us - thais love His Majesty King Bhumibol so much....he care so much for his people and what is best for all thais...is his main priority. i remember the time when the Princess Mother is in the hospital....King Bhumibol would visit his mother very late in the evening so that he will never cause inconvenience to thais living in bangkok. King Bhumibol is the not the kind of king who will just sit down & relax...spend lavishly....He is the kind of king that work tirelessly for the people of all kinds no matter what religion you believe in...for Him all thais are his own children...there's a lot of good things to say about Him but the space might not be enough.

    He dedicates most of his life to help Thai people,especially the poor. As a younger king, he traveled through rough terrains toalmost everycorner in the country, many times by foot, to help the poor. The only reason why he did that is he loves Thais. That's why his body now is very weak and frail but he continues to work. He teaches us virtue to live by by living it himself. Thai is why Thais love him so dearly and deeply. To me, he's truely the greatest king in the world and a great Bodhisattva

    yes, I agree, but honestly, you have to really be thai or at least live in Thailand to understand the respect we have for him. Many Thais view him as a father and he truly is a bless for our country, he did developed many projects that drive the country forward and it’s unfortunate that many people do not know and realize his hard work. I grew up overseas so I understand your view point as well. For the PM outfit, it’s a tradition. anyway, I appreciate your politeness very much.

What the king's done for 65 plus years is more than helping democracy, which isn't just about elections,equality and human right. Eventually, ultimate goal of democracy is better lives of people living together in peace. That's what his majesty has tried so hard to make it happen through all these years. If you like to have your own people not living a good lives in piles of rubble, that's fine!

    You don't seem to know the Thai Royal Family that well, implying that the King 'helped himself' by gaining 35 billion dollars is just a sign of sheer ignorance. The 35 billion dollars are assets of the Crown Property Bureau which includes valuable assets dating back many centuries. And no, he did not kill students, the government did. The king has no connection with the government and the law whatsoever. You're from Nepal and you say people here work in slave like conditions. Please..get a life.

Someday you can't sleep all night long because you are so worried about your baby daughter who is sick and crying. This is the relationship between Thai people and his majesty. ... The kind of relationship that you don't understand...

    Hi!! I'm Thai and yes, it's a tradition. We believe that the King is the highest. Ummm.. like the Queen of England, who is separated from the politics. Everything that has to do with the queen has to be traditional. Same as Thailand, we have a specific language when we talk to the king. You can't be sitting at the same level as the king. for example, if the king is sitting on the chair, you have to be on the floor. There's so much more but I hope this kinda explain the idea to you.

    I am sure he has done some things for the thai people. But not really that much. He sure helped himself too. 35 billions of dollars in not pocket money.
    There were many human rights violations in thailand during his reign and plenty of people got killed including students.
    And still people work and live in slave like conditions. Compared to Malaysia, Korea and taiwan, thailand is not that great. A great king? No I don't think so.

    How do you know that he made a few trips? I don’t think you know anything about the king but just want to run your mouth. Were those people who he visited got paid to be their? It is not hard to trace where and when he made visits because they were recorded by the government officials and many others. The people and the villagers were real and they were there. So, it is impossible to cover up. Plus, there're a lot of high ranking local and federal gov officials etc. who travelled with him....

    The King and the royal family is contributing in keeping the army dictatorship and high corruption in Thailand. Last coup in 2006. Still lots of political prisoners, and you get 15 years jail if you say something bad about Bhumibol.... No hate to the Thai people though, it's not their fault.

    the royal family has nothing to with the dictatorship. The king does not get involved in the politics whatsoever unless in the time of crisis where Thai people are killing each other. Thai people have not allowed king of Thailand to be in the politic business since the revolution in 1932. It's the Thai people who want to run their own country, so the king understands that and has never gotten involved in politics just like Thai people wanted....

      What's disturbing is having a law that prohibits criticism of a corrupt monarch. Thailand--pedophilia capital of the world--the place where many, MANY children are forced to sell themselves into sexual slavery while the perfect King lives in the lap of luxury. Great place.

    • @dylanelise7024
      @dylanelise7024 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +Herman Ingram do some research before you say things that aren't true. You cant just go round disrespecting other countries like that. Thailand is a great country and i (i live in Thailand) have enormous respect for the king, i think he is a great man. Just please think before you speak because what you said is very rude and disrespectful towards the people of Thailand

    • @skym6334

      I was born and raised in Thailand for about 4-5 years until I moved to the US so I don't know much about those, but you're speaking rudely about my country which is like mocking my family. Are you that self concious to look down on an entire country, blaming and generalizing it because of some stupid cunts. I don't consider pedophiles, human. I understand your anger, but it shouldn't be on the entire country.

    • @SuperMiley1994

      I agree im a native thai and i live in Thailand. I think what you said was just your opinion I understand but the fact that the king has passed away last night makes your comment even more fucked up.
      Update on Thailand:
      The whole country is mourning
      We're not allowed to have any celebrations or even listen to happy music on the radio
      EVERYTHING is closed even my school
      The whole nation is silent and dead
      Rest in peace, your majesty King Bhumibol 💛🙏🏻🇹🇭

    • @SuperMiley1994
      @SuperMiley1994 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have no idea how much Thai people love the king, i never felt so much unity in my country unless it's about the king Bhumibol. 90% of people in the kingdom of Thailand love the king by heart. When the king smiles, we all smile together. When the king cries, we all cry together. And that, is the people of Thailand when it comes to their respective royals.

  • @namjaikhonthai461
    @namjaikhonthai461 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    (cont.) Therefore they follow his virtues which are what prevent a lot of Thais to kill each other.
    And since the military dictators saw how much Thais love the king and saw his righteousness and realized the way he's done to help Thais are the right way, so they became aware and respectful to the king and the people, not trying to be stupid enough to be againts them.
    The king is the reaon why things in Thailand didnot get much worst than they would. A great king? Oh Yes I truely think so.
