Hi Mark, appreciate the video's showing what is going on in the greenhouse at yours. I have my eye on a compact paph with bright yellow waxy flowers that bloom sequentially. Not sure that will ever match my spending limit but it's something I am keeping an eye out for if I ever spot something like it.
I have just started with pahpiopedilums and was wondering if you fuss about new roots growing above the substrate exposed to the air. Should new roots be potted below the media or can they find their way down like phals would?

do you have an example of the type of yellow flowers you like?? reference your other query, in my personal experience, roots ALWAYS have to be covered in medium to ensure they continue to grow - if they are above the soil line they just dry up and shrivel! even mounding up fine bark or moss will help them make it to the soil line. hope this helps.
