This simple tree is made with a small piece of fabric and a plate. This Christmas tree ornament is just the cutest!
USA TODAY Holiday Lights Christmas #holidaylights
    INSTRUCTIONS:
Cut out an 8 in circle. I used a dessert plate as a template, but you can use whatever is round that works for you.
Fold in half, right sides together, and sew on edge stopping about an 1-1/2 from the edge, leaving an opening.
Turn right side out and press. Top stitch around the entire half circle, tucking in raw edge and enclosing your opening.
About 3 in from the left side, fold the right side of the fabric over and continue to go back and forth until you come to the end. Press into place. I stitched it in place.
Attach a ribbon to the top on the Christmas tree. Hand sew to the back of the tree. Embellish it, or don't!

Tammy and I have been friends for many years and met here on TH-cam! Since then we have met up in real life many times. You will LOVE her tutorials and learn how to decorate cupcakes better than most bakeries do. She lives in Canada, but I really wish she lived next door.
Also check out Jenn of cupcakesandcardio. You will love her as well. tinyurl.com/lah...
Jenn and I have met in real life twice and done some video collaborations together. When we are together, we "get" each other. It is hard to explain to people sometimes what you do and it is nice to be comfy knowing that she also understands everything I am talking about. Oddly enough, she too lives in Canada. I may have to move there soon since such awesome ladies are produced there!
Lastly, smile! I like it when you smile :)

Those are the cutest little things!! To look at them, no one would know how easy they are to make!! Personalizing and dating, with glitter glue, for the Grands, would be a great little Christmas gift tag/ornament!!

    Thanks, Beth!!

Damn Beth! I wish your hands would not get in the way when you are making a HAND made ornament by HAND!!! LOL! Amazing what people will find to complain about! Geesh!

What a beautiful idea. I kept thinking as I watched that it could be done with double-sided card stock/scrapbook paper as well.

If you ever do get stuff on your iron, from sticky stuff from a fusible interfacing, buildup from starching clothes, or glitter, there's an easy way to clean it! Put some coarse salt on a paper towel, then iron over the salt. It'll clean the iron without scratching it.

Love this ornament. So cute. Your tutorial is awesome and explained it perfectly. Had been looking for an idea for a large group of kids to do. This was perfect. We are making them out of paper and glue instead of sewing. Lots of glitter and such. Thank you for this great idea. Just now realized we could have done fabric but hot glued instead of sewing. Might have to try that.

I am going to be one of those people that complain about your hands being in the way simply because I found this pattern on line, I could not figure out how to make the folds, I came to utube hoping for a tutorial, I found one but cant really see what it is I need to see to finish my ornament maybe go a tiny little bit slower when you are doing the folds. please try and remember many people watching your tutorials are NOT experience sewers
