We are relocating from Oregon to Colorado and having a hard time finding a place. The “problem” is that we live in a beautiful village in Mt. Hood National Forest and even though it is a rural area we are within an hour drive commute to Portland’s suburbs where we can find shopping and entertainment , etc. We are retired and don’t mind living within a 3-4 hour drive to Denver..in other words we like both, nature and city.

Cheaper living usually means more crime. That’s America and capitalism for ya. Colorado is full of super rich, so most of the bad places are normal places in most other states.
