Shiny is the way forward! Words to live by! I love your art supply dissection. Those blue and pink colours reminds me of those clouds you did around the train...and cotton candy. Sooooo I thing a good theme would be cotton candy dreamland!

Hullo Gem, I have quite a few inks and fountain pen inks are not often waterproof! I have used sketch inks that are waterproof when they dry out completely!
Great for getting those lines in watercolors from going away after you apply your colors! I have dip pens and you can use a lot of different inks to apply to your pictures! This was a grand video thanks for doing this one! Gem I use steel wool to condition my nibs as they will ALWAYS rust a bit! My Dad is a Lefty and he struggled in school with his penmanship and I found that when I used my left hand if I used a nib that was twisted around and not centered in the handle I did better. Oh I wrote left handed for years just to show him I could write with either hand! I took a calligraphy class and he was quite surprised with the left handed writing I produced. It finally showed him that having a "messy left", was not a real excuse for poor Penmanship!

This is so fun! When I was in college, my spare money went to the Windsor and Newton inks. I did multicolor calligraphy as a side thing back in the day. Loved their packaging lolol

ooh that was fun 😊 I'd totally love to see a monochromatic winter landscape with the Pelikan ink .. the color looks so fitting for that to me 😊

Fountain pen inks are my arty jam! I love using them like liquid watercolor, some can do color seperation and "granulation" in such a fantastical way

This is going to be an interesting series :) Ink isn't really my cup o' tea, though. Then again, I neglegted pretty much all of my art supplies lately, because I have a hurting wrist :( and thanks for making my day better, currently going through a rough patch in my relationship and it breaks my heart, but... oh well. At least I could enjoy a wonderful Gem video :)

Please tell me it was the different inkcarnations ....... 😁
If you want to use fountain pen inks with watercolour then De Atramentis Document inks or Roher and Klingner Sketchinks (may be spelling mistakes on the brands) once dry are waterproof - so great for use with watercolour paints.
Suggestion - how about flowers and trees - like a scene from RHS Harlow Carr.

The Roher Klinger Sketch-Inks are really nice to use!

Yay, you’re back! This was very interesting and informative. I think a night scene with that Indigo color ink as the sky would be cool. Particularly since it isn’t fully waterproof, you could get some neat effects. Anyways, in my very limited experience, I prefer India inks. Since the acrylic inks are much more liquid-y, it might be easier for me to paint with them as opposed to regular acrylic paint. Hmmm.🤔

I have never really tried acrylic inks. I have some india inks and waterproof fountain pen inks. They get some use, but not so much... Dip pens generally try my patience!
