No doubt about it, Canton is not only the best flea market in Texas it is one of the 5 best in the US. I would do it the 3 months of summer. I would do Nashville and then on to Canton. Usually a sell out. I would buy a load to take elsewhere. My best buy EVER was there. For $250, I bought a French tapestry, which I sold 2 months later for $5,000!
I sell in Nashville every month, and agree its great. I hope to some day go to Canton, quiet a haul from Alabama in a van of 280,000 miles, with a load of junk and pulling an RV
Nashville fairgrounds just got awarded 12 million $$$ to update buildings and grounds. Will take 3-4 years to complete. You'll have to come back and check it out when its done. Changes in MGMT as well
It is but maybe not the experience you want anymore (I'm talking about Houston Trader's village only). It used to be good but lately, its been flooded with china products😒 you can barely see antiques anymore but cheap china products sold as regular price.
Canton is definitely a very large flea market. Ive been there many times and sometimes I can finish it in one day (depends on how fast I walk and how many times I stop). If you are out there all day though, make sure you have a lot of energy and wear comfortable shoes! Also, if you didn't already know, there's a flea market in McKinney that has some of the same vendors that are out at Canton plus it's a lot smaller.
Alot of "generic Chinese and Arab" type stuff there. If you speed past all those is easier. Plus, definately do not go in mid to late summer. It's killer heat or there. We live in rice tx, 50 miles south of Dallas. Been there many times.

Prices are craY expensive! I'd rather hit local Goodwill's and thrift shops for vintage items. These people are resellers
I've been to First Monday. The Senior Center holds a trip twice a year. It's about an hour's drive from Dallas.

WOW!! I never heard that. I actually have a paperweight dated 78 from the flea market at fairgrounds. Now I will have to ask around
