I like your technique. The line up explanation was on point. My last haircut the barber "Jacked up" my hair line. Got me looking like a Nike swoosh!!!😂😮
thats a dope fade mayne ! im a beginner and im having trouble with detailing, when i think it looks good i step back and still see guidelines and i hate that my fades are taking too long
Hi, i thought 0 clip with lever fully open was like a 1/2 guard fully closed. ...and if say you had that 1/2 guard lever fully open it woud be like a 1 guard and so on. Not so? Thanks 😊
Well we here in guyana in have a barber school but knowing my self as a school boy cutting frens hair with scissors and comb nuff people tell me I'm go make it cause u no abt that I glad u showing me d basis
Proud of you! Keep up the good work. Slow progress is always better than no progress. I will continue to drop more videos to help inspire and motivate you and others.
Do you fade your own hair bro? I been wanting to learn to fade my hair just like this, this is the hair cut I been getting for years and want to learn, I've never cut hair before
This is my haircut as well. Just invest in good clippers. I suggest wahl 5 stars somethin that can zero gap. It took me a few times to make it look decent but also get the 3 sided mirror with a light on Amazon. Helps a ton. Maybe get a trimmer as well . Imagine spending 250 for your gear but saving 1000 a year on haircuts for the rest of your life.
Also, I do a 1 on top. Not a 2 on top like this video. Do yourself a favor if you plan to do it, write down the instructions so you can follow along when you do it. For example. 1st line: no guard closed. 2nd line: no guard open. 3rd line, 1/2 guard: open..... etc etc.
@@joshgarcia1899 thank you boss I been meaning to jump back in this and learn, is a 1 easier to fade then a 2? I get a 2, don't mind trying a 1 if it's easier LoL do you have the steps measuredized for 1? My hair is similar to video
@@joshgarcia1899 Facts bro...that was my exact thought process when deciding on cutting my own hair for the rest of my life during quarantine 3 years ago 💯
When you first started off, I noticed you went against the grain. Is it better to go with the grain or against the grain in the beginning? I know black men that have deep waves, and would be disappointed to have it started against the grain because it messes up the waves.
Yes I went against the grain because the customer has straight hair, it’s always better to go against the grain when cutting straight hair. You can go with the grain if it’s coarse hair helps with blending and waves. On waves you could also go against the grain using a larger # then go with the grain to smooth em out.
@@rogerfortuin5977 first thing to do is get you a system down put your guidelines in then come back blend them out. I share some of my blending tips in some of my other videos also

It’s really like sculpting. Very artistic. Great job! What to you call that last gold detail trimmer? Thanks
Thank you kindly. The Gold trimmer is a Skeleton GoldFx Babyliss trimmer.
What would you do if the client wanted like a long number on top, maybe a 6-7.
How would you blend a 6-7 into the 1.5?
Thanks
Best tutorial yet..👌👌👌
Thank You .
I like the tutorial I have a regular person who wants me to cut there hair they get a #1 on the top and a high skin fade could you do a tutorial?
I sure can let me get a client who wouldn’t mind doing a tutorial so I can make it happen.
U can always share what u have
Thats clean❤

Did you cut it all down to a 2 before making the first guide line?
Yes it’s best to cut the top down before you start to fade because if you fade it first then cut the top , you will have to reshape the haircut.
