- Asa interrupts Bo and Sarah’s lunch and say he has a problem that his son has to help solve. He says he forgot today was Renee’s birthday. Sarah and Bo advise him to get her roses and a present, but he says that isn’t enough, he wants to throw a surprise party. Bo speaks to the manager of the Waterside Inn (Bruce Altman) and is able to rent out the restaurant for the evening. Julia, Debra, and Al meet Gabrielle at the airport when she returns from Seattle. Gabrielle gets a dozen roses delivered to her at the airport. Although the card is unsigned, she’s pretty sure they’re from Matt. He’s also sent a limo, and although Julia wants Gabrielle to reject Matt’s gifts, Gabrielle convinces them all a limo will be much more fun than a cab.Greg demands that Tina pay him the money she owes today, even though he previously said she had a week. Tina tries to get rid of him before Cord or CJ sees him. Tina tells Cord the person at the door was a friend from San Diego stopping by to say hello, but he can see she is shaken. Bo tells Sarah the real estate agent hasn’t been able to get in touch with the owner, but apparently another agent had been there last summer and said it was basically deserted. Bo tells Sarah (through some elaborate, indecipherable nonsense) that he was able to rent the place, so all systems are go. Meanwhile, in Statesville, Johnny assures Carlo that all his business associates have received their invitations to Badfderly by now (although the guest of honor, Whitey, has not) and he’ll be heading to the island himself tomorrow. Charlotte overhears the tail end of their conversation. She offers to help out at the summit meeting, but Carlo turns her down. When Gabrielle arrives at her suite, she finds it too has been filled with flowers. Matt gets a visit from Asa, who asks to speak to him alone. Matt tells his reporters, Rod and D. (Zora Rasmussen) to clear out. As Rod listens from just outside the door, Asa confronts Matt and says it’s clear he no longer plans to sink this publication as they’d agreed. Asa says he’s divesting all his funds from the Intruder, which should sink the paper pretty much immediately.
At their picnic, Cord tells Tina he’s really enjoying this visit, and he thinks maybe Tina should consider staying in Llanview. Cord senses something is off with Tina and asks what’s wrong, but she deflects. When she turns around to look for CJ, he isn’t there and she begins to freak out. Cord says he can’t have gone far, but after he runs off to search, Tina fears her debtors have taken her son. Cord returns with CJ pretty quickly, but Tina is still very worked up over his momentary disappearance. Dorian tells Rod she’s got a great scoop on the Tina Roberts story and the man she’s been meeting, but Rod says it doesn’t matter anymore. She doesn’t understand but Rod explains she’s been had-Matt and Asa were in cahoots to get Dorian to invest in the paper and then bring it crashing down. Matt admits that he convinced Asa to buy the Intruder with him as the frontman but that Asa only agreed on the condition Matt get Dorian to invest along with him. Matt tries to calm Dorian down, saying he is on her side now and believes the paper has a future and that the three of them-Dorian, Rod, and Matt-can save it together. Matt tells them to think about his proposal and let him know in the morning if they want to stick by his plan to save the paper. Carlo warns Johnny that hardly anyone knows what Whitey looks like because he keeps to himself. After Carlo is escorted back to his cell, Charlotte tells Johnny she wants to come along to Badderly or else she’ll tell their father that he’s planning to bring Tina along with him, behind Carlo’s back. Once they return to Llanfair, Cord wants to know why Tina reacted so dramatically when CJ wandered off. She says since they separated, CJ has become the center of her life and she just can’t bear the thought of anything happening to him. Cord promises nothing bad will happen to CJ, and tells Tina he wants her to move back to Llanview for good. Tina gets a note from Johnny reminding her that she needs to come with him to his conference. Tina tells Cord she has an interior design opportunity out of town that she’s considering taking. At her suite, Gabrielle dims the lights and sets the mood in anticipation of her guest. Matt soon arrives, donning a tuxedo and bringing a bottle of champagne.
LOL the kid just got done wandering off so Cord's idea is to put him BEHIND them where they can't see him!
Carlo's daughter would have made a good replacement Tina she has the look
Here we go again, Cord. Playing games with Tina's emotions.
Its been a long time since we saw Debra Medina, I thought she was off the show at this point
I did too until she just showed up.
Yeah she was probably put on a recurring contract by this point and was set to appear once every 2 or 3 weeks. For no reason really. She took Al into the kitchen and that's the last time we'll ever see her lol. Same exact thing happened to Mari Lynn. She appeared once a month for no real reason and then just disappeared.
@@chiefmac88 This reminded me of Mary Lynn also. She was at the hearing for the baby switch and hone forever.
LOL went into the kitchen and disappeared forever. Hopefully the gave an explanation at some point
@@ClassicOLTL LOL
Im all caught up for my gabby return hehe
Missing the real Max! But curious as to how this unfolds with M&G
Can Jake and Megan stay away from each other. All I do is fuss and fight. Also, I'm done with Tina at this point one crisis after another. She was one of my favorite characters and they ruined her with all the crises. What was she doing?Gambling, as if she didn't have enough trouble already and I liked the storyline better with her and Gabriel, both trying to get cord. They seem to have ditched that and now it's all about tina's gambling
