How on earth do you get those floaty 360 degree type shots?

If you look at the action and in some clips you can se the 360 degree rider, he has a homemade "panorama" grip attached to his helmet, so the wind turns it around randomly. Sometimes ppl have like a sail in the back to slow the camera down.
