It helps everyone in the guardian kill if you announce a troop limit per army. That way the battle last several seconds longer and everyone can use multiple armies to level up more commanders.
Guardians are solid way to get XP without spending AP. One tip would be to have troop count limit, and instead of dragging your marches into the guardian you can click the guardian and send your marches. This way you dont attack allies accidentally when you have multiple alliances attacking the same guardian.
good thing about then if they spawn every abut 12 hours so you can attack them over and over again... even if the sanctum has ben captured by another alliance....
yu don;t mention here (not sure if it is a recent thing) that every army attacking gets XP as well as every hero (if 1 army has 2 hero's - 1 backup) both will get the xp.... if a weaker character joins in at the last second 9before the guardian dies.. when their bar is red) and starts actually attacking they will get full XP when the guardian dies... thereby helping starter players get xp to help them start and so they don't miss out on the joy of attacking, getting XP and it not costing annoying amounts of action points (In fact it costs no action point at all)

Echo if you are playing as f2p you should make a farm account it is a must for f2p
