So he has an insanely powerful holy sword.
I come from the future and now he deals more damage against Giants.
I chose to stick with David as my archer because he looks adorable 😂 and also I wanted a Christianity character on my team. Didnt know he was this strong.

I find it very funny and ironic.

With his deck I suppose he makes a great team with Merlin (Good NP rate of Arts chain, and Buster NP to gain from Merlin's 3rd skill)
Yea he would pair very well with Merlin
While it's annoying that David can't Buster chain unless paired with other servant's buster cards for at least the attack boost, with an Arts deck that means his Noble Phantasm can be used more frequently, I'd say it's less of an imbalance and more of a trade-off.

he is actually pretty convenient... if only his other NP like the ''ark'' was the one on FGO use-able for players instead of this..but that will make him too OP instead..

Okeanos will probably have the best FP gacha in the game honestly
i just started playing fgo dude. luckily im now in Camelot which the community says is the Dark Souls of all Singularity lol. Im now currently building my core team. I currently 3rd ascend Hans and now working towards maxing Mash and David. now im relying on supports to deal damage because i cant invest to a damage dealer right now because im just starting lol.
If you have Euryale I'd suggest investing in her, she's excellent for Camelot
i want to have her but im saving quartz for now. i currently have friend point servants on upgrade. Im currently maxing Hans (hope i got more copies since he is only at NP1) and David (NP2). i find The two combined with my friend support and my currently lvl60 mash (which is the limit for camelot) being a good combo. Insane defense buffs plus healing makes it easy for me for now.
if i have played when there is a free SR pull i may have an easier time playing but i currently enjoy playing camelot in my own pace lol
After finishing the singularity I tossed 2 tickets at the current banner and got euryale. Sad to see my sea faring crew leave me but happy to get david and euryale back.

Only very recently realized just how good David is. Didn't know he was pre-Merlin though. I kinda use him as a pseudo-Merlin NP-evader in case Bepis Mage's S2 is still on cooldown, but I'm starting to get used to using him as a DPS too. And speaking of flavour and buffs, I wish he got an anti-Super Giant enemy buff to his NP. That would be legit.

He's also cool and I like the story he has against Goliat in The Bible.

I'll be saving a lot of FP just for him and maybe I get lucky with few for NP5.

I hope you get him, he is pretty fun to use actually since he takes a bit of strategy to use efficiently. I do hope he gets an interlude that adds bonus damage against "giant" enemies though just to make it even more accurate to his legend lol.

I hate his story in the bible! He cheated using an overpowered ranged weapon in a melee duel against the noble and fair Goliath that gave them a fighting chance in a desperate situation.
To be fair, nobody else wanted to take Goliath up on his challenge and the guy was described as pretty huge. David was too young to properly lift a sword or fit into a soldier's armor so he was likely in his early to mid teens at the most and it basically would have been suicidal for him to engage him in melee combat; though that says a lot that nobody in the army decided to step up in his place when some kid decided to accept a seemingly suicidal challenge.

Yeah, everything was strange in the story. Why was he there, why was he so weak, why were everyone else such cowards?
I understand the story is supposed to be a metaphor, but it still angers me when people glorify the immoral story while demonizing the really cool bro Goliath.
Finally got to 10/10 harp of healing, 1k fou and grailed him to level 80, so he can stall for real now. Also finished the kiara bossfight with him.
Can't wait david is the support character I've need since I have e rank luck I got everything needed to fully ascend him. This is gonna be fun
I also forgot to mention, but you do get a free copy of him as a reward for clearing Okeanos as well
G&A Reviews do we need to complete okeanos for the new fp gacha servants or can we roll right away after okeanos launch?
You mention Hans being better than David, but it's hard for me to see since all of David's skills seem so good...do you spotlight Hans anywhere that would further explain this?
Hmm I just looked him up again after my memory got fuzzy, and yea, 40% ATK/DEF and 3K HP is pretty massive haha. With overcharge, does it go higher than that?
No 40% buff and 3k HP is the max it goes with overcharge. Hans is better strictly as a support because of that crazy NP, he is pretty much a mini Waver. I go a bit more in detail about Hans in my F2P Guide here: th-cam.com/video/u_MzIC-MWhs/w-d-xo.html

They should give him a buff that makes his (or his team's)NP deal more damage to target's with higher max health/attack than him, like a David vs Goliath mini-meta

Man, 3 star archers seem pretty damn good in general ( don't know about 4 stars and above or future ones). Now I have another archer I want to work on. Yeah, I really like archers. Only issue now is mats since I have so many I'm working on. At least Nero fest alleviated the problem somewhat.
The 3 star archers are pretty OP. Euryale, David and Robin Hood are all better than most of their 4* counterparts lol

Most versatile 3 star archer imo.
IMO, if you want to win a Holy Grail War, you don't summon a Saber or Berserker or Rider. Sure, they'll carry you far, but there's no such thing as a bad Archer. There's only good and downright broken. Even Arash guarantees mutually assured destruction.

anomalous21 well Emiya is one of the best 4 star servent so yeah stick with emiya man.
With David u just need to accen him one to get the all dodge skill to save ur ass from enemy NP.
In the long term Emiya is better, but right now David will be way better. The problem with Emiya right now is he needs all his interludes and strengthening quest before he gets good. But since you already started investing in Emiya I would suggest just sticking with him for now, ascension mats are rare now so it doesn't help to split them between servants

many events give emiya a drop /dmg boost, and his upgraded np ignores defense, making him incredibly powerful.

Just a question, Is it better to grail lower rarity servants than 4 & 5 star servants?
grail for love, not for stats. Technically grail 1-4 stars servant can raise their max level by 5 levels until max level 90 (higher than that each grail only gives you levels). Stat wise, 5 level have more raise than 2 levels, so, yes it's more efficient to use grail on lower rarity servants (since it's give you 5 levels).

Yep, use your grails out of love. usually the stat boost isn't that big, it depends more on the servants growth curve than their rarity.
wait, I thought when a servant is grailed, their growth curve became linear, disregarding theiir original growth curve isn't it?

To be fair, everyone is good with Merlin lol. But yea if you put him with Waver or Merlin or another arts based support his deck fairs better
Hmm...while he seems pretty good I'll probably won't invest too many resources into him. Going to prioritize Euryale first and then later going to focus on David assuming I am able to do so.

is this a guy we'd give maid in halloween to? i"m just unsure cus the CE itself seems practically made for a character in need of keeping itself alive, like Darius or Tamamo Cat but it also seems like something to give to a support unit so...opinions?
I wouldn't advise it, maid in Halloween only really works well on servants with multiple self heals. It works great on Marie, nero, Tamamo (Caster), and even Jeanne to a degree. I wouldn't put it on David though, his heal isn't strong enough to really make use of the CE. Most of his survivability comes from his dodge skill
Hey jeff i have a vlad and while tamamo isn't out im using hans and waver suport do you think david its a good idea substitute for hans if you want more damage?
Yea that is a good switch, slightly less survivability but you will be putting out a lot more damage with David's NP there.

Yep you can get him from the FP gacha, you should definitely roll your FP for him and Euryale and you can hold onto your quartz for Okita and Jack

Aww man, I just started investing into Robinhood and now I hear there are these two other great archers i have to eventually roll and use xD. For general damage, does robin hood still do the most work out of the 3? I'm fortunate enough to own a Waver so I don't think I need the extra support
Robin Hood remains one of the most powerful single target NP nukers even in the current JP version. Also he eventually gets a sick animation update

Yep you got it. Robin Hood is still your best option against non-male Sabers so you definitely didn't waste any resources. The 3* archers are pretty great actually.
G&A Reviews Wondeful to hear! With the new farming zones out, Cu's only 1 feather away from maxed out ascension and I believe that I'll be grailing both Herc and him to 90 eventually due to their powerful skill sets. It's worth noting I plan to be strictly F2P so I'm trying to plan around not getting lucky for 4/5 star servants. Only desire is to roll for Gil when he's next available

I have Euryale and David both are level up, but my style is tanky/survival so, My party servants are Marie viva la France, Cu prototype lancer, Mash, and Cu Caster. My question is, Who is better suited for my Team Euryale or David?

Yes, they are both top tier archers and come in handy in many boss fights. Especially Euryale

They have different roles, Robin for nuke damage, David for support (that can deal damage using np), raise one that you need most
As Daniel said, I would choose the one you need most. If you don't have a strong archer like Gil then I would go with RH, if you don't have a Waver or Hans then I would go David
Oni can i challenge your wave of thought? You always say that 1 turn evade is always weaker than 1 time evade while that is not necessarily true. For example, imagine if on the same turn every enemy targets one servant, sure they will block one attack but then what? they get blowed up, especially if they are berserkers or something. Im telling that because it actually happened to me a few times. So in essence 1turn evade vs 1hit evade is something like small chance for great benefits v reliable buff that gives minor/mediocre benefits. Hopefully you got what i said and waiting for answer
I get where you're coming from for sure, that is definitely a scenario that has happened to me before too. I think it comes down to valuing reliability more over the chance for "great benefits". The chances for an enemy to hit one servant 3 times in a turn is actually very small and the chance they won't get hit at all is just as likely. So 1-turn evade is just as likely to be utterly useless (enemy completely ignores you) as it is to be a great benefit (enemy hits you 3 times) whereas 1-time evade has no chance of failure so it's more reliable. But in David's case especially since it applies to the whole team it is very useful since everyone is guaranteed 1 free hit.
It comes down to whether you value reliability more or the chance at a big gain.
Yeah but 3 times evade is a best case scenario cuz only cu's got that. So for all others the odds are even less

It's good but not as amazing as you would think because instant death in this game is misleading. 10% chance to inflict death doesn't really mean 10% because most enemies have death resist. For example silver-tier enemies like the Dread Wyverns and Lamias have a 50% death rate (aka 50% resistance to death) so your attacks actually only have a 5% chance to kill not 10% (50% x 10%) Gold enemies like those chimeras have a death rate of 20 (80% resistance) so your chance to kill them is only 2%. Mini-boss type enemies like demons and sphinxes have a death rate of 1 (99% resistance) so your chance to kill them is only 0.01%. And enemy servants usually have between a death rate between 1 and 0.01 so basically impossible to instant kill.
Still as a passive it isn't bad, most really weak enemies like skeletons have a death rate between 80-100 so you can occasionally get lucky and instant kill weaker enemies like a skeleton or werewolf

Your argument that a triple arts deck is bad because he has a buster np is stupid i guess martha’s deck is also bad yet martha is usually used in stall team and guess where david is used a stall team so 3 arts works better for his used roll
Both are used in stall for their skills, not their decks. And their skills are what make them good. Having 3 arts and a buster NP isn't the end of the world since he will be used in stall teams anyway, unlike Emiya where the mismatched deck hurts him way more, but it isn't a good thing either. If you put him on an arts / stall team then you need as many arts cards as you can get to continually spam NP for the team, having one less arts makes you that much less effective at doing that. Mismatched decks in general are never a good thing, you want to be able to brave chain with your NP whether it is buster, quick, or arts.
HAhha no not at all it's the skill and the deck equally having 2 busters with the same skills is worse than having 3 arts with the same exact deck like Units with 3 arts not even counting that 3 arts on a non-caster is rare Like would he be better with an arts np maybe but is his deck bad for what he's supposed to do not at all
It isn't that he needs 3 arts so much as it is he just needs the ability to buster/arts/quick brave chain, the same goes for every servant, having the ability to brave chain your NP is pretty strong. I think he would have been better with even an AABBQ deck like most balanced servants have.
Buster brave chaining on a Support dps is meh as all hell NPBBE should be for attackers the thing with That deck is that it's bad on david NPBB leaves him with no np the next turn for 1 turn of big damage where as with his deck you can NPAAE he has 3 arts so next tun you can AAAE and then have your np ready again so big damage or fast and consistent damage and np seal what he needs is an Arts np and not an AABBQ deck
That sounds good in theory but it never works that way. First off his NP gen isn't so high that he is going to be spamming his NP every turn. Secondly he suffers from the same problem as Illya in that sense, to a lesser degree since Illya isn't a support, but mixing high arts cards with a buster NP just isn't conducive to either spamming the NP or making it more powerful. You're basically playing the middle, your damage suffers because you can't buster brave chain, and your NP gen suffers because you don't have an arts NP. Ideally the perfect deck for David would have been AAABQ with and Arts NP or at least BBAAQ with an Arts NP.
Mismatched decks just do not work, they are never optimal. There is a reason so few servants have them, they are used as a "check" to not make servants too OP. Obviously I'm not saying David sucks, he is one of the best archers in the game, and his deck and NP not matching up probably effects him the least of any other servant in the game because his skills make up for it and as you said he is going to be in stall teams anyway. Which is why i rated him so highly, because that con is insignificant. But it is a con, just because David is great doesn't mean everything about him is great, he is great in spite of his deck not because of it.
