IU fan here and I just wanna say that seeing a full game played from TKR and not just highlights from one of their games this year, he completely inpressed me and how much better he is from last season. Great impact player.
Always appreciate your insight Neubs! Voice of reason in my friend group
Colvin's shooting dry spell reminds me of Loyer last year mid-season. Hope #5 can break it open the way Fletch did. Always enjoy and look forward to your wrap videos.
I took a look at all 3 of his misses--- they weren't bad. he is a good shooter. Wish he and Heidi could also hit shots off a pull up or dribble penetration ...patience for the sophomores (Heidi, Colvin and even big Will) we will need them next year ( and this year!)
Your videos are difference makers!
My Friday night was on the couch with the flu but still able to watch the game. Feeling better this morning after watching your wrap.
It's not the officials job to "even out the game" and someone needs to address this and call it out as it's happening EVERY GAME!
Imagine if in football they tried to even out the penalty yards.
They didn't even even them out well. Indiana got away with three technical fouls that were not called. Harris leg sweep, Heide hook to the ground, and Braden hook and hold. Yet it was Purdue that had a tech called on us
If Will Berg can't get playing time against Ballo when TKR and Caleb are in foul trouble, there's really no point in him staying at Purdue. I expect him to be on a different team next year.
thinking the same thing here
Furst is gone next year (graduates) so Berg will fill that spot.
@@karlkurtz1855 Daniel Jacobsen will be back, so Furst's minutes will probably go to him.
Sure. Because sophomore players can’t improve.
thanks BN
Great recap as always, glad IU didn’t exorcise their “albatross” last night…a term you haven’t used this year😊! Thanks Brian!
Nice summary as always
Brian, I have always heard that good teams find ways to win. Purdue is good and when the outside shots start falling more then they will be VERY good my friend.👏👏👍👍
Thanks Brian.
They got lucky . Glad they got the win!
no, Purdue executed down the stretch and IU under CMW consistently plays poorly during end-of-game scenarios.
Yes, IU is a very good team. The IU fans have every right to be proud. From watching the game, I inclined to believe IU does not suck. Boiler Up !!
I'm watching!
Slumps seem to happen to all good shooting teams at some point every season. Better to experience it now than at tournament time. Last night's game reminded me of the clashes in the 1980s. I shut the game off because - being older now - afraid my heart can't take the stress now!
I was gonna shut off around 8 minutes left for same reason, but stuck it out for whatever reason.
Also even if we hit just two more 3's I think we run away
Purdue basketball game would not be complete w/o Brian weighing in. 👍👍
IU looked like they knew it was a rivalry. Honestly surprised.
I know the guy aren’t trying to miss their shot but I have to keep reminding myself. I’m sure it’s more frustrating for the team than for us fans. Better to be in the shooting dull-drums now than at tournament time.
Looking forward to seeing the guys outside the mains start hitting again!
Hopefully Fletcher isn’t catching the bug… pretty ugly until the end.
At this point my “projection” for this team has just not materialize. I thought Purdue would go as far as Heide and Colvin would carry them, yet they aren’t even mentioned in your wrap video. Does this surprise you as much as it does me? 🤷🏻♂️
I didn't see the officiating discrepancy that you did. I did see a number of eyebrow-raising calls, but not favoring one team.
Coach said that both illegal screen calls were good; I don't think that he sucks up to officials, so I think they were good calls and Trey has to adjust.
What's with the Yankees hat for a Purdue video???
Didn't even notice the difference makers comments.
Mackenzie is a slasher and not a jump shooter. I said it before the season started and this game proved it. Why a shumo like me can see this and an nba coach can’t is unexplainable. Yes he can shoot but he’s better driving to the rim.
Michigan State lost 😅
God, Fletch was getting cooked by Mgbako…such a mismatch.
yeah.. but fletch got 5 of the last 7 points for Purdue to get the win... so what's your point... Mgbako looked great in a loss?
Fletch's +/- was +13 pts.. which means when Fletch is on the court we won by 13 pts for his 31 mins on the court (that's called winning)--- your boy Mgbako--- -1 (that's losing)
@Hal-lj7kp my point is exactly what I said… he got torched on defense. Doesn’t mean that other aspects of his game weren’t good. So what’s your point?
@@Taparoo2 my Point.. quite a few 1) Basketball is a team game 2) Fletch's +/- for the game was +13 (learn how to read a box score, bro)... so when Fletch was on the court Purdue won by 13, and the guy "torching" him +/- was -1 (despite his 25 pt effort) -- HE LOST, FLETCH WON... that's my point. Wait there's more. Mgbako is 6 foot 8 215.. it wasn't a good match up for Fletch ... likely because TKR was in foul trouble. If Mgbako had 25 points but was torching the guy guarding him.. the rest of the team bust have been completely shut down, which it was.
So, as an exmple it would be like UCONN giving up 37 to Edey (with lottery pick Klingan only score 11) but in not double-teaming Edey, they shut everybody down on Purdue and took away the 3 leading to a comfortable win in the national championship game.. Its called strategy bro... that is my point.
@Hal-lj7kp blah blah blah… I don’t give a shit about all your little statistics…Loyer was grossly mismatched against Mgbako on defense and any fool watching the game could’ve said as much.
@@Taparoo2 Like coach Paint says... so many people watch basketball but few understand it. You are the case study on that. You asked what my point was .. I gave it to you. Of all the people to point out-- the guy with +/- 13 is the wrong guy (purdue only won by 5) . Everybody busts on Loyer ( you included) but Purdue can't win without him.
