Living Alone in Japan : celebrating my birthday at Osaka’s oldest park & enjoying solitude

Hi! How are you? I’m already 26!!! Days are going by fast, it’s already almost mid-January and I can’t believe it. It’s 2024!
Nothing much happened last month on December, I celebrated my birthday (not alone this time). Of course, it’s different celebrating it with my siblings & family but at least this time I have someone close to my heart to spend it with. We explored and enjoyed Hirakata Park, the oldest park in Osaka. It was very fun and we enjoyed every minute of it until its closing time.
The sad part was that we didn’t get to try many foods because we’re afraid we might puke it out if we eat too much. And we didn’t get to try ice skating, because we’re simply oblivious that there was one. We’re coming back and we’ll try it for sure. It’s on my bucket list after all.
Then Christmas happened. Nothing much, we ate Korean food then thankfully I get to watch videos of my family celebrating in the Philippines. It was fun to watch.
New Year, I didn’t get to celebrate and just slept all day. The late afternoon of New Year though was fun. We came back to the bridge and took our time there. Just watching the river, looking for wooden sticks, playing catch-ball, watching the sun set by the river, trying to throw skip rocks and it was a good memory.
My beginning of the year started easily and relaxed. On the first week, I went to Tokyo to meet my mom and spend some time with my relatives there. It was super fun, I will upload it soon.
I hope you had the greatest Christmas & New Year. I’m proud for everyone who is still here and fighting battles everyday, you’re doing great-we’re doing great. Let’s keep going!
