I was a dancer in that Dorothy Lamour national tour of Hello, Dolly! Lamour was a joy to work with. For those interested, there's a 5-minute audiobook excerpt on TH-cam of my time with her, taken from my autobiography, The Wrong Side of the Room: A Life in Music Theater, in which there is an entire chapter devoted to the tour. Here is the link to the excerpt: www.youtube.com/@normanmathews

Certainly we should have gotten to see a little more of her Wonderful talent and magnificent beauty and she should have been in more films than she was in ….her voice her songs were yes very nice but it would’ve been nice to see her pumping out four and five films a year as some of the other big stars were doing….This song dates from 1945 and is almost 80 years old and timeless….
done very nicely by a beautiful young lady at the time
just can’t say enough about her

In days of yore when I was young in the seventies. Guys called me Dorothy Lamour. My name is Dorothy also. Nice compliment. Or Hey. Lana Turnover. As in Lana Turner. Or Hey. Marilyn. Today the guy with that last compliment.
Seems to renege on his administration. Aw. That's the internet for ya.
