Sometimes Music Speaks To The Human Soul.
A perfect song for Zkye's voice. She just belts it out perfectly. The anticipation at the start before the main music kicks in, perfecto! Another classic for Christmas.
She's world-class!
This was one of my late Dad's favorite "modern" songs, hopefully he's smiling down on the heroes of our homeland - this is for you my brothers and sisters in the ZSU; behind the lines and on to victory

Had I never heard Zkye sing before, I would have said this performance was unbelievable. But I will admit that I cried at the end from the heart and soul she generated for this classic from Leonard Cohen. I don’t know how the band held it together at the end. I would have been a puddle of tears. Zkye, thank you. You are an amazing vocalist. Darren and each band member, thank you for giving this to the world to enjoy.

The formidable Zkye, peeling back every layer of longing, aching emotional pain, did not falter for a second, 100% authentic in conveying the song's meaning and feeling. If you can deliver a performance that wells tears, tingles skin, and warms - or breaks - hearts in people, you're super-powerful, because you can move them emotionally, and then you are embedded in their memories. For me, this is the standout track of the whole album, and that's quite something, since the whole album was incredible - also quite a feat, bearing in mind the time frame in which it was organised, recorded, produced and delivered.

OMG!!! What an amazing soulful rendition of this great song! Zyke not only hits a home run but it’s a grand slam knocked out if the park. I’m still waiting for my goosebumps to go away. The bands low key dynamic back up is astounding and Darren’s production is off the hook.
