When it comes to earning money in europe, It depends on the work you do and qualification. Dont let anyone mislead you. Ghanaians dont like to upgrade themselves
He didn't even consider tax and national insurance deductions, and the benefits that come with it. Without those deductions, the full minimum pay in Germany for 8hs job for 5 days may be more than €2000. I don't know if the Ghanaians in Israel with aduro papers enjoy the same social and employment benefits. Most Ghanaians only care about the direct paycheques they receive which they can use to do something back home without thinking that a system operating based on deductions provides the best financial security. I may be wrong but if he earned that over $2000 per month as someone with an unstable permit of stay (very difficult to obtain a proper doc in Israel as a foreigner), there is no way he could have access to the indirect benefits his Ghanaian friends in Germany enjoy. Without access to social benefits and pension schemes, you are highly likely to fall down flat and become a destitute if you mistakenly fall sick and cannot physically work to earn income. Most European countries operate an economic system which combines both capitalism and socialism. Hence, workers' net salaries or wages are usually a bit lower (often more than €1200) after deductions but are complemented with social benefits and other indirect incentives. Apart from the UK, you will never hear of student loans in any of the other Western European countries. Education, healthcare and so on are literally free for all legal residents.
@@emmanuelcrayon7730 lol health care isn't free.. I dnt knw where u got your information from. Ask anyone who is legally working here how much they pay as health insurance. The most annoying part is.. the more u earn the more health insurance u pay. Most of our Ghanaians don't say the truth.. but the 2000€ is Gross salary a month bcos of them pay between 9.80 to 35 euros par hour depending on the work u do. Moreover.. most Ghanaians aren't able to further school bcos of various reasons.
@Dee blaqq. That’s a free universal healthcare system. Every worker makes a bit of contributions and is covered for almost all healthcare interventions. Pls compare this with the out-of-pocket system like the American one and see how much people pay for medical interventions over there. The one you pay in Germany is just coins. The national insurance contributions do not cover only health but also other social interventions.
@kaakyire Kusiwaa. There is no financial security in your case if you don’t have a proper document to go back and forth between your own country and Israel. The European countries on the other hand really integrate foreigners giving them citizenships when they qualify after a few years living there. This enables them to enjoy all those benefits including pension till they die and continue to enjoy them even if they move to different countries. Besides, make comparison based on the average salaries of each country and not based on individual pays. Salaries depend on the kind of job you do and the number of hours you work. From your statement, you work more hours and more days a week so getting that amount of money is not a big deal. Since European employers pay on hourly basis you can imagine that someone who works more hours will be paid more. Germany’s minimum wage is about €9.80 per hour and most workers get more than that especially with years of experience. Even truck drivers in Italy normally make from €4000 and above per month (some even earn €6000 or more due to the long hours of driving). I know some Ghanaian truck drivers over there. Mind you, this is in Euros and not dollars my dear.

Is not easy oooo, when u tell people is not easy they think u are lying. U see abroad differently when in Ghana, everyone who has bn in abroad is hard n a hustler cuz is not for all
Germany they are slick. It used to have one of the highest minimum in the 80s but I think they have seen the huge immigration arriving and are trying to discourage people from coming. The same thing with housing when I was living there. It was not easy to find your own housing and it was on purpose.
@Terrel Mensa. Yea bro especially factory workers. However, most people I know in Italy who are delivery drivers (especially truck drivers), leather factory workers “conceria”(quite toxic depending on the department/segment), Meat processing factory workers (especially AIA) earn more normally around €2500 and over. Some Ghanaians working in ‘conceria’ were being paid over € 3000 per month some time ago. I don’t know the situation for now. That’s Vicenza tho, I don’t know about Reggio Emilia. But truck drivers in general earn more like €4000 and upwards. I knew a Ghanaian who used to work 4 days or a of maximum 8 days or so a month in Italy and was being paid between €3000 and €4000 as an independent contractor. Hence, she was paying taxes and other contributions by herself.
