Hi, I just got a Bernina 930 without the foot control. I wanted to plug a electronic generic foot pedal but some people tell me is not like a normal foot pedal. Could you help me with that? I wanted to buy a new one, but to get it to my country would be expensive. Thanks

I’ve been struggling with a Bernina 910: sews beautifully but it carries on stitching 2, maybe 3 stitches when I lift my foot off the controller, and the heel tap just lifts the needle one whole stitch, ie if needle is down the heel tap lifts it out and puts it back down again. So I infer I have a problem with the controller? Do you agree?
It's hard to say, since it could be several things. The easiest thing is to first try with a different foot controller, and see if the problem is solved. There may also be problems with the electronics or it needs a mechanical adjustment. Sorry I don't have a clearer answer.

After many years of being functional. my heel tap stopped working. It still goes forward without a problem. Any idea what part needs fixing?
