The eponychium and the cuticles are two different things . You cutting your eponychium can lead to hangnails and possible damage to the matrix . The cuticle is the dead tissue on the nail plate . If your going to educate the public, please know the difference and teach the truth .

I am new to nail art & to be honest I don't understand what I am doing wrong Recently 2 of my best friends clients had some tips fallen (& it's not even been one week that I made them) 😔😔 Please help: it's because the quality tips, or quality glue? Or is it because I glue the tips in the middle of nail bed (even highter), of course not touching the cuticule! It's confusing, some TH-cam videos shows the tips glued at the end of the natural nail & some in the middle of nail bed (even higher) Suggest me something, it's obvious that I AM DOING SOMETHING WRONG 😩😩😭
I glue my tips at the very tips. What type of acrylic are you using? Some acrylic is not professional grade and does not last long. Also, prepping the nails with dehydrator and primer will help them to last between fills.
I added my tips before putting the dehydrator 😓 I’m still new at doing nails but I just applied the primer and I’m hoping that will be enough if not I learned for next time lol

Crystal Rush Sorry just seeing your message! I actually just started using nail glue, and the only difference I notice is that naik glue seems stronger. I never had issues removing my nails with superglue

Noooo please don’t nail glue is made in a safe contained environment verses super glue that’s made in a factory that’s not contained although there made of similar glues there made in completely different environments I use to use super glue until I found out it’s not good for your nails!
Necessary, need to remove any oils and you dont want a smooth nail when applying, you want your nails yo be a bit i guess rough it essentially gives the nail something to hold on too …

That “excess cuticle skin” is actually the proximal nail folds AND YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO REMOVE THEM.
You remove it in certain cases, it’s not always recommended but you do cut it

Apply tips to the tip of the nails you're doing it too far up. Also make sure all the cuticle is removed and the nail plate well preped

My primer is wet and sticky on my nail. Is that normal or is the product bad?
Your primer is supposed to be sticky so it can help your nail adhere to your acrylic or gel to stay on longer

yup i use kds and it works really good but make sure you get it from a good seller cause sometimes it can come dried out

Kayleen Marvel conditioning oiling or moisturizing the nail before enhancement will lift the products instead of adhering
You can use a cuticle remover you just have to wash your hands and wipe your nail with alcohol after you've used it.
