    Thank you VERY much. You took time to show how to lock the gun open and how to decode the gun at the end. This is most helpful for those of us trying to learn the basics. Many/most prepare videos and “assume” the audience knows the basics and don’t take time to slowly demonstrate EVERY step, which is a mistake. You have done an EXCELLENT job covering all details, from start to finish and I sincerely appreciate it. Thank you. I look forward to viewing your other videos.

      Joe Warner thank you for watching! I’m being honest here when I say that my disassembly videos are the most enjoyable to make and I am glad they can help!

    To save wear on the long slide and frame rails, of this gun, I recommend a light grease. To name a few good ones, there is Milspec TW25, Shooters Choice, and the one I like is Enos slide glide.

    Hey man, this is my first Sig - I bought the Hoppe's 9 Action Cleaner 'only' and a separate Hoppes 9 lubricant oil. Looks like you use a combo product, is that easy/better? Anything wrong with what I picked up?

    • @travisp11
      @travisp11  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Nope. You are good to go. Back in the day I used to use nitro solvent on the barrel and underside of the slides of my pistols and then finished up with some gun oil. Just use the cleaner first and then oil. Down the road look into getting some Safariland CLP. That will take care of the cleaning, lube and preserving at the same time.

      It was a TALO exclusive that was sold through a few dealers that buy their guns from Davidson's Distribution. TALO does exclusive finishes and firearms furniture for certain retailers.

    Some people tell me to use grease on the slide, is this necessary?

    • @travisp11
      @travisp11  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lithium grease is fine but I prefer CLP. There is a lot of metal on metal contact with this pistol so grease works great as a mechanical lubricant.
