  • I received a number of questions on the stream about cold starting all three locomotives and also how to correctly set up all the Multiple Unit settings on each loco. In this video I do just that, combining various different trains together and showing how to get all the power, braking and even lighting settings all set up correctly.

    at 48:50 the one loco was showing brake cylinder pressure because the brake mu switch and cutout switch were in the wrong position(which was corrected) but also the automatic brakes on that unit were left on release. They should be set to "handle off" on all slave units. Setting them up properly will insure cylinder brake pressure only increases when it increases on the lead loco.

    the difference between an EMD locomotive and a GE Dash 9 is EMD locomotives you have to move the primer handel to to start them. The Dash 9 is computerized and all you have to do is press the run start button in the back of the cab.

    I think I'm going to get TSW now that the fps are better for some people. I might have to play around with fullscreen or in game detail levels to get decent fps on my computer, but I think it will work out well.

    Really enjoyed the video, just curious, are there checklists available anywhere for these procedures (cold and dark and trailing unit set up)

    Is it possible to add locos that are idling in the yard to your own train somewhere in the middle or end (like a tailing loco)? I coupled a few SD40s to the end of my train before departing Cumberland (guess you could say I stole them...). They coupled fine but didn't seem to be running with my train (dynamic brakes wouldn't work when I'd use the dynamic brakes on the lead loco).

    Is it possible to do a dead unit? Like, when a loco needs to be transported, but it doesn't (or can't) run?

    I've been playing TSW 2 for a few days now and i realized that in TSW 2 the trail locos can be controlled without disabling the Engine, control and generator field switches.Is this a bug or a change to the game mechanics?

    Hey so I'm able to cold start units. But once I couple them together. I notice the brakes don't come from both of the 2 engines so it's almost impossible to stop the train. And I'm also wondering if both engines are adding their horsepower. Like individually both engines will move. But I'm not sure they are both using their power together once I couple them. I am trying to use all 6 available engines in New York City switcher.

    When pulling onto the turntable, why aren't the wheels rotating on the engine? Can't you see that?

    Hi,
    I have played TS 2018 using a bog standard office computer and I was forced to turn the graphic quality right down low to be able to get a reasonable frame rate, to the point where everything looked unrealistic.
    I am now looking at buying a gaming PC that I hope will improve the gaming experience. Please could you tell me what computer specifications are required in order to get the quality that is shown in this video so I know what computer to go for?
    Thanks

    • @up844productions8
      @up844productions8 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      so does every other passenger loco in the states but different railways use different color lights/flags

    ive started to see the short line railroad here run a loco powered and one turned off, but the crew wasnt in the powered unit they were in the slave driving the train... is that possible in TSW?

    • @up844productions8
      @up844productions8 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      it is not sorry a slave unit gets its power and brakes controlled by the lead unit which as full control

    Can you MU an AC4400 with an SD40-2 in TSW and they will work?

    • @slendermanRblx
      @slendermanRblx 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      because on videos of this game the MU lashups are normally just one type of loco example 3 SD40-2's working a coal train or 2 AC44's on a manifest i will just have to find out when i get the game myself

      another question is it possible to have the lead unit running dead with engine off but it will control the other working locos like a cab car on a commuter train
