I used to collect them with the same criteria - I like the novel itself, and I like FS' design. But, like you said for yourself, they've become too expensive. Especially since they removed the canadian site this last summer, so now we pay the ROW prices. I have 90-odd of them, mostly new, mostly bought in the 00's. Tastes change, so I could easily sell 50% of them. :p
Their books also appear to be very durable/solid. I love their 1984, Jurassic Park, The Lost World, The Phantom of the Opera, Dracula, Lord of the Flies, Something Wicked This Way Comes, etc versions. Their is no drama unless you try to get some of their small, limited releases. Great publisher. Tim, sorry to hear you're finding AG boring. I found it very boring with no point. I find Gaiman is a master of creating a mood, an atmosphere which doesn't always pay off. Coralline is one of my fav Gaiman books. The Ocean at the End of the Lane, and The Graveyard Book were very good, too.
No. I haven’t read the book. I bought this edition because of my love of the movie. This is my first copy of the book. I’m looking forward to reading this edition of it.

Their prices for US buyers have jumped considerably, and it’s a lot higher than the price for UK buyers (after conversion). I wonder why.
I have a couple Folio, I try to snag “like new” copies on 3rd party websites. Has worked great so far 🤞
I’d say more than half of mine have been purchased on eBay. Sometimes secondary market can be cheaper and sometimes more expensive.

I am a fan of Folio books. The quality is good, and many of them are beautiful. They are somewhere in between a trade edition and a luxury edition.
I get a few here and there as well. Really like their Game of Thrones and Dune productions. I get the Stephen King ones just because!
I have skipped all of the Kings because of the cover designs. I don’t like the looks of them.
I agree on their GOT and Dune books looking good!
That paper wrap is great for a re-vamp on an old table lamp.
I bet it would! Great repurposing!
By the by, what's your take on the "repurposing" of the film?
@@jefferybeckman5231 He hasn't read the book yet.

Thought you were measuring centipede's Alice in Wonderland for a second 😉
Too damn tall, that’s how tall! 😁
