I feel like Splatoon 2 was my first ever game I loved but idk if its cozy. Lately my favorite is Coral Island and Ooblets. Would love to know if you have any guides to Coral island. I’ve been a bit anxious not being sure what to do since I feel like I’ll mess it up. If you don’t have one.. would be awesome to see a guide and a “what to do” first to have a good start to Coral Island. I need to just play it more🤣
Just bought this game for my wife based on this video. She loved Animal Crossing, found Stardew Valley too complicated. She’s excited for Wylde Flowers
I absolutely loved Wylde flowers. The town just feels so alive! Once I finished year one, I was excited that the story continued, but it definitely was a lot lighter in terms of tasks to do for the second year. I just want more content!
I dont know how I was able to refrain from jumping into the nintendo switch cozy games for years but now I finally caved in and am waiting for my switch and animal crossing to come into the mail. I am so excited and this video came out at the most perfect timing for me!
I didn’t enjoy Pocket Camp, but a friend convinced me to buy a Switch to play ACNH. When I wanted something slightly different, Cozy Grove drew me further into gaming. Perfect for this time of year, and it doesn’t let you grind the story forward.
Stardew Valley was my first, if you ignore mobile match games (which I tend to). It was perfect for someone coming from JRPGs. Good fighting and materials gathering and usage segment, plus a great character and social element. Really worked for me. Only thing that was new was the farming, really, and it was really easy to adapt to. (Plus, considering my age, I have real nostalgia for simple game styles, so that worked too.)
My daughter loves Little Friends Puppy Island. She is nearly 7 and was able to play it entirely by herself with no help (she also plays Mario and Kirby so does have some experience). Definitley recommended for children who love dogs.
After Animal Crossing the games that really got me hooked for cozy games on the Switch where Spiritfarer, Summer in Mara and The Wild at Heart 😊 Another game that is a great addition to ACNH is Hokko Life
Great video !Im planning to try Ooblets .My first cozy game was Stardew ,but years ago I was playing some island and farm and aquarium games in Facebook in the good old 2013 haha .
My first cozy game actually WAS Stardew Valley. I got it the year it came out in the Fall no less (perfect timing right?). For me it was pretty easy to learn because it got me into playing PC games like that (in the past the only PC games I did were point and click games or educational games the required the keyboard). It basically made me a fan of indie games and Steam. I still plan on getting Wylde Flowers, but the next game I plan on getting is Sun Haven, and then I'll get Wylde Flowers. All of the while I am still saving up for a PS5 also since I really want to get 2 games for that console (that aren't cozy) like Hogwarts Legacy and Honkai Star Rail. But I want to double check that KH4 is coming to that console too because that's going to the top of the list when a release date for that comes out.
Grow: song of the ever tree has been so good. I’ve pretty much finished it now on switch. I started with animal crossing pocket app so animal crossing is hard for me to get into now bc it feels like the same game.
Wylde flowers is on a humble bundle along with bear and breakfast, mail time and a few others for like $20 I’m considering diving in I don’t have a farm sim in my library u less you count old school 😊
My first game in the cozy genre was stardew, BUT my first cozy experience gaming was ACNH (stardew always gives me anxiety around how I should spend my days, there’s a deadline for achieving some things, and I personally despise stardew fishing)
DO NOT get Mineko's Night Market on the Switch until the bugs get worked out. Right now theres so many frustrating problems, several even stop you from being able to move on in the game. 😢
A lot games do I have on my switch. I am personally not a huge fan of little puppy island. Get sick of the screen that goes with you and turns a lot. And I don't like it that you have not a lot dog breeds. So I have my phone where I can care for animals at animal shelter games. Unpacking did I buy because I saw a kickstarter of camper van and unpacking is so fun for cozy game moments, nice you mention it in the video. 👍🏻 Wylde flower sounds intresting to me, thanks for the video it's a nice one.❤️🦥
What was YOUR first ever Cozy Game? 👀
OG harvest moon on the Gameboy color! Oh man I feel old now. 😂
Stardew Valley! But I played in multiplayer and had help. A good beginner friendly cozy game I would recommend is Spiritfarer
ACNH got me back into gaming after a 20 year break!
Sims 2 and Sims Castaway, both on the PSP!

Thank you so much for including Wylde Flowers in your roundup, Payton! We super appreciate you! 🥰💖

I was so happy Ooblets had a Halloween event. I want them to bring more content to the game. It’s just so good!
I took part in their prerelease on Xbox and they do have other seasonal holiday events too! 😁❤️ it’s such a fun game!!

Wylde flowers is 110% worth playing ❤
I like how the characters in ooblets wobble their heads in the cutscenes
From this list my favs are ACNH, Wylde Flowers & Unpacking. I have Mineko's Night Market & Re:Fresh but haven't played them yet
I love Sprout Valley! Best 5$ spent in awhile now

Same. As a JRPG gamer, I think Stardew is a great starter farming sim, honestly.
I love the new background set up. ^_^

Monster babies 😂. I was going to Stardew today….. but you talked me into Ooblets instead. I’ll check out the spooky event too!
Animal Crossing generation here🙋♀️😊
Wylde flowers is on a humble bundle along with bear and breakfast, mail time and a few others for like $20

Ooblets is the best game ever

Are Wilde Flowers and Ooblets fixed camera? If not, can you invert both x and y?

Great list Payton :)
I SO wanted to enjoy Little Friends Puppy Island but the camera does NOT invert.
