Ok, I’ll suggest you always use your pins to join the pieces of fabric together first before sewing them together. You should get a better result if you do it that way.

Place your tape rule on your shoulder and take your measurement down to your nipple point. Make sure the tape rule goes over your bust when taking the measurement so that it can be accurate
