My husband and I run a small online furniture business and shipping has always been the most challenging aspect. Great video! Really appreciate you sharing! Never heard of Plycon But I’m excited to find a new avenue!! We use Uship primarily and it can be hit or miss. Thanks again!! Stay safe out there!
Thanks for this post Phil. This is one of my biggest things holding me back from trying to sell stuff online, the fear of damage in shipping and the cost of shipping. There are things I make that I think the shipping and packaging would be more costly than making the thing I am packaging. But this is a good example of what you do in your process, thanks!
I had to ship a 40 pound solid rosewood chair, very valuable. I chose UPS freight and UPS packing at the UPS store. The chair was 36 inches maximum height so with massive packing came up to 48 inches high. UPS “package” rates are very cheap but maximum length is 36 inches, beyond that is UPS freight rates, almost double, but they take large stuff. They packed In a special double box (box inside a box)created like this video combining two large boxes with lots of bubble wrap excessively. Highly recommend UPS packing and shipping. They marked “no stacking”. My final weight was about 75 pounds. Packing cost $80 but worth it for professional work.
Amazing!!! I would have never thought of putting two small boxes together to make a big one. I usually just "frankinbox" stuff when I ship large stuff (I never ship stuff as large as furnature though) Thanks for the tip!
Why’d it take me the whole video to realize you had an accent. But thank you for the easy quick video. Planning on starting a furniture building business and don’t want my hard work to fall apart. Cheers 🥂
I have a bunch of original Lineberry factory carts that I've restored to be coffee tables. So far I've only had them listed locally on apps like LetGo and OfferUp. These coffee tables are at least 200 pounds and I'm not sure how to go about selling these on eBay. They aren't easy to break down for at home assembly by the buyer. Any recommendations? Thanks
Watching the “helper” was the best part of the video!
Finally a helpful short video on the subject. Thanks! I gotta ship a fireplace... wish me luck.

Yep, I 100% understand. Thanks for watching.

Great to see that management does occasionally take the time to come and see that everything is done right.

Movers often combine boxes to create large, odd sized shapes even for bicycles, statues, etc.
Thanks for the video, lovely girl by the way :) I enjoyed watching her trying to "help".
Great video on a subject I was really interested in. Can you post links for the packing material that you use? The foam blocks and blankets?
