If you like this series (Disney) you should go back and start at the 2005 series that started the revival - Doctor who has been running for 61 years - so 2005 season is actually season 27 - and the one you are watching is season 40.
The short episode called Born Again (it's on YT) should be watched after ep13 of the 2005 series & the 2005 christmas special.
