Most people don't expect to fall and when they do it feels like it happens super fast, everything is spinning and it can take a while to remember to let go. Often the riders would get less hurt too if they let go, so people commenting this is just rude and ignorant.
@@lileenirv1753 clearly you don’t know much about horses because there is metal in their mouth when you ride and so if you where to fall off you should let go if you can
@@clyderocks8821 well, personally I've been riding 5 years, i go to an equine collage, and i own and train green horses. I know very well whats in their mouth and i understand that yes, it would be better if people let go of the reins. EVERY RIDER KNOWS THAT. BUT that doesn't mean it'll always happen like that. As someone who has fallen quite a few times falls, especially if ur on the horse are fast and unexpected so you're not always gonna react well. You'll get startled and your SURVIVAL INSTINCT will kick in and you will try to hold on to anything near you. This happens to everyone, from beginners to pros. And yes its not good, these are fails, things went wrong. But people are always learning. I wish i let go when i fall and sometimes i do, sometimes i dont, but i try. Someone telling me i should have let go isn't gonna change what happened and it doesn't mean I'll let go from then on, but i try every time. Most equestrians do. No one wants to pull on that metal bit but it happens and people usually feep very bad about it. So i repeat, comments sayin 'ong i can't belive they don't let go' or 'LET GO OF THE REIS' dont help, they just prove how toxic the community is. I also want u to (metaphorically) look me in the eye and say in all honesty that u have never held on to the reins and never will when you fall

A lot of people in the comments are saying that western saddles should be jumped with so I just want to say that it is completely fine to jump in a western saddle. Yeah, it's not made specifically for jumping but it was originally made as a working saddle. A saddle to get you from point a to point b. It was designed to be used in any obstacles on a trail or path you may come across. So it's fine to jump in a western saddle. I'm not saying you should always jump in a western saddle, I'm just saying it's not bad to jump in one every once in a while. Stop assuming it's bad.
Yeah, it’s like any other saddle, except it’s heavier and you have more seat. But you shouldn’t jump in it everyday. It would do damage. It’s not the comfiest to ride in, but if your desperate than go ahead lol.
The horse is always so kind when they are with other horses But when Im gonna jump a course in front of some girls and they stand in the middle the horse won’t listen
I like how the girl handled it, when the horse was about to fall. Instead of pulling in it's mouth, so it would fall down, she let herself fall down instead.
0:30 - this is why I always wear a hard hat. ESPECIALLY when jumping. While it wasn't bucking, the horse jumped akwardly and turned out from under me while landing, normally I would have been fine and my foot got stuck in the stirrup. I came crashing down on the base of my skull. Even on a safe schooling surface, that hat had to be replaced with the crack it made on landing and I was sent to hospital with a diagnosed concussion. Now imagine like this girl I hadn't worn a hat. I can't even imagine the best-case scenario, since it'd have been bad, the worst was I could have died in that simple fall.
Why can't we sit it when the horse puts its head down, if your horse puts its head down sit back, and lift your reins, use your seat and stirrups too if you'd like.

IF YOU START TO FALL DONT GO OVER THE SECOND JUMP!!!
3:53 you could tell the horse was mad his ears were back so he obviously didn’t like that
I think people should let go of the reins, i mean, i now that it is your instinct to hold on but...
IKR
What I try to think is imagine you have METAL in your mouth and someone is just YANKING on it. How would that feel? But you still need to have contact with them. But anyways yeah bad idea
Okay but if you KNOW its instinct then why comment this?
Most people don't expect to fall and when they do it feels like it happens super fast, everything is spinning and it can take a while to remember to let go. Its not that we want to hurt the horses or want to kee holding but ur muscles clench instinctually.
Just a little reminder to theses subscribers and yourself, LET GO OF THE REINS WHEN YOU FALL OFF now is it pretty clear
Some people don’t think of that the second they’re falling
Dang I was just giving a little too now people should know that because I would ask that before I start riding and then it would not have to be the problem that people are literally FALLING on their horses face
What happened to the riders legs at 3:30? It looked like they were going to dismount and the horse bucked again. 😂
Will Zara ever come?
a lot of these “fails” are rider errors. some of these young girls are jumping really high. that doesn’t prove that you’re a good rider by the height of your jump. horsemanship and the connection between you and your horse prove how good of a rider you are. remember that guys!
Oh please....STFU. Nobody has asked for your opinion

0:35 Let go off the reins!! ‼️‼️
@@melody.grace25 IKR, she like ripped the horses mouth off, while smiling.
Sometimes ur supposed to hold on if there are other horses in the same arena lol
@@ANNAasbgoingplaces No, I don’t think so, first off people say not to hold on cause you’ll get dragged across the arena, second off it yanks on the horses mouth, which causes a bit of problems.
Why people hold on to the reins I do not know just let go of them
@@horseloverlol640 IKR, I totally agree, whenever I am about to fall off I let go.
Loved the video! xx
Story time!
Me: Going to bounce jumps
Horse: Goes to jump
Me: Yay!
Horse: cuts out of jump at last second
Me: Oh no!
Horse: heads towards other horses in group lesson
Me: hanging on to his neck for dear life
Horse: slows down
Me: falls flat on my back
I don’t know why these people never let go of the rains, I always do.
Love your videos sooo much ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for including me 3 times ! (3:40 until 3:47 and 2:26)
that fall at 3 47 wasn't bad at all though looked planned
@@marietjievanzyl4886 haha, i was very prepared because I felt like he was going to refuse ! Ty tho :)
0:34 thats why u should ALWAYS let go of the reins when u fell off ur horse lol
if the horse says "NO" you either asked the wrong question or asked the question wrong....
Oops I meant to say it’s not the comfiest to jump in.
I agree you shouldn't do it very often. I was just saying that there is nothing wrong with jumping in a western saddle every once in a while. :)
The horse is always so kind when they are with other horses But when Im gonna jump a course in front of some girls and they stand in the middle the horse won’t listen
The second fail. Wait hold on girl!
When I fell off of a horse I was just like : alrighty I’m falling off now, I just let myself fall off
Please

0:48 good catch
i can send my fall when i broke my arm xd
I like how the girl handled it, when the horse was about to fall. Instead of pulling in it's mouth, so it would fall down, she let herself fall down instead.
Something good you might not believe...I have never fallen off not at a canter not at a gallop not a trot
How long have you been riding
I've been riding 12 years and only fell of once

let go of the reins !!!
we all fall sometimes!!
4:08 Let’s have a sit on the couch and drink our tea
3:55 What a seat!
@Jozefien Van Snick You know her?
Don’t worry falling of , the ground will always catch you 😚☺️😉
2:12 He pretended to roll to cover up his fall! XD
1:17 where is the fail??
I think they mean the buck...... Thats not fail horses buck if they dont Like something or it not comfy for them i think

Why can't we sit it when the horse puts its head down, if your horse puts its head down sit back, and lift your reins, use your seat and stirrups too if you'd like.
DON’T HOLD ON TO THE REINS WHEN YOU FALL OFF!!! IT HURTS THE HORSES MOUTH!!
How do I send a fail?
