    I am so excited for a year of Vlogs with you 😃 I started following you when you would do your week in my classroom vlogs and they are still some of my favorites to rewatch, mostly because were both coffee obsessed and I love your style, voice and outlook. I love the idea of picking a word for the year and getting a piece of jewelry to keep it at the forefront of your mind. Last year I had a goal of 50 books (audible, kindle or physical) and I got 45, so its another goal for this year!

    • @maryanndavis1815
      @maryanndavis1815 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@sarahpieren7403 I completely understand. I would say making a goal that is obtainable and sutible for you and your life will always be the most important thing. No one wants to set a goal that they feel is too unrealistic. Also last year I traveled for work a LOT so I often listened to an audio book and I still count those towards my goal. I am slightly dyslexic and I would highly recommend audio books.

    A trip to Germany!!!! My husband works for BMW and spent 10 weeks in Munich back in 2012. I joined him for a week and loved every minute of it! If you are in or around Munich, Rusticana’s is AMAZING for dinner! It reminded me of a pub. The ribs were some of the best I’ve ever had, and the prices were very reasonable. All the guys my hubby worked with loved it as well. We took the train to visit Neuschwanstein Castle in Schwangau. It was breathtaking. We also visited Dachau prison camp. That was one of the hardest emotionally I’ve ever visited, but I’m so glad I toured it! I can’t wait to hear how your trip goes!

    • @PocketfulofPrimary
      @PocketfulofPrimary  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ahh, thank you so much for the suggestions! I'm tucking these away for when we go! We will be visiting Munich and Berlin and we're also going to make a trip to Dachau. We know it will be very emotional, similar to Auschwitz but we really value the experience. Thank you again for the recommendations!

    Happy Friday and Groundhog's Day, Michelle! I really enjoyed the variety of topics you covered in this vlog. I'm happy that you are able to enjoy your repaired ceiling...home repairs can be crazy, but it's such a relief when they are taken care of. I have had a yearly word for the last three years: joy, faith, and consistent (this year). I am also creating monthly goals because yearly goals can be so overwhelming. My goals for January were to complete report cards early, finish my evaluation documents early, and schedule specific dates to meet with friends I don't see very often. I accomplished all three goals! Anyway, thanks for sharing a fun vlog updating your life. I also really enjoyed yesterday's podcast about planning for the month of February. I have a lot going on this month, so I will go through a similar planning process tomorrow. Keep up the awesome work and enjoy your weekend! 💜

      Hey hey Mandy! Happy Tuesday and I hope you had a great weekend! Thank you so much as always for checking in 🥰 Yes, home repairs are unnecessarily stressful but they feel SO good when they're completed! 😅 I love the word consistent for the year... it applies to so many things! Also, CONGRATULATIONS on reaching your January goals 🎉 Woohoo! That's the perfect momentum to take you into February. Thank you so much as always for sharing your insights and taking the time to watch and comment 🖤 Have a great rest of your week ahead!

    Love this video! I will be listening to that podcast episode today while I clean! I always spend my Saturdays with you and Bridgette! I love all this goal setting and I think I’m sold on purchasing your new planner! You actually inspired me to have my students set goals for the quarter and we worked on that yesterday! I created an accountability sheet and helped them set realistic goals on how to improve their grades in my class. I’m not much of a non-fiction reader, but I have to say I am intrigued by “The Slight Edge” so I may look into that one! Because of you I actually started keeping a list of the books I am finishing this year. I’m an avid reader and am just curious as to how many books I actually read a year. Thank you so much for the constant inspiration! I’ll see you next week!

      Aww, thank you so much Valérie! I do the same thing when I clean but I listen to Office Ladies 😂 I am truly in love wit the new planner and hope you love it too if you choose to grab it (it's on sale all of February). I look forward to using it each day and it has really helped keep me accountable, especially with my goals and productivity. But yes, I HIGHLY recommend The Slight Edge. It's an easy read quick to get through but it leaves you feeling so motivated. Thank you as always for watching and commenting 🖤🥰🎉 Have a great week ahead!!!

    Hi Michelle! I love your vlogs! It’s like visiting with an old friend. Have you ever read any Karen White books? I have had the pleasure of meeting her in person twice. Her Tradd Street series is one of my favorites. The series revolves around a lady named Melanie who lives in Charleston. Her quirkiness and unique ability get her wrapped up in an old mystery. Highly recommend!

    Love this! I’d love to see how you plan your PDs. I work for a large district and it takes me FOREVER to plan and create the PD. Do you have a system ?

    • @PocketfulofPrimary
      @PocketfulofPrimary  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It can definitely be time consuming... it's a lot like planning a lesson. I know I've touched on my planning process briefly in some vlogs before but I typically start with a Google Doc to outline the flow of the PD, then brainstorm activities to incorporate, and then create the slides and any other materials I need.
