I need to replace the whole laser assembly because I have the little main motor gear falling apart. I found the assembly on Amazon but it said it needed to be desoldered. What all does that entail?
@@grahammoore2157 thank you, i'll do the same as well. Also because the trimmer is centered even in the original module, thus I'll basically replicate the setting.
Nice video, the same laser module is in my Marantz CD player. Happily I have bought the whole module with a metal chassis.
yes but how do you dismantle the trolley? in my SONY CDP-CE 375 it is not easy to do this.
No need to unlock the cd lens or desolder the lens lock?😊

Hi, thanks for sharing Does this module require calibration via its trimmer?
I don't have the equipment so i set as far in either direction that it stopped reading the disc then put it half way between those settings.
