We have a family tradition. We all have a kitchen chicken. It was so sweet when my husband came home with a chicken for our youngest daughter's new house. I didn't think he paid attention. Lol

This is an extremely enjoyable video. Relaxing and exciting all at the same time. Your selections are fantastic. Such beautiful things. Just wonderful to watch. Thanks Danni. I like the base of Rachel’s shelving natural wood. It’s a nice contrast.

Those hobbyists pieces are local ceramic artists who are in business for them selves which makes them professionals! you can tell by there signatures forms and glazes...sometimes you over use that word which makes me crazy!
Because I am a ceramic artist......there is a difference please start to know your ceramics thank you

This has nothing to do with this video. BUT, I just read about putting the legs of your
bed in glass jars because scorpions can’t climb a smooth surface like glass and maybe really slick plastic. Don’t know if it’s true but maybe it is.

    • @MJvideos4u
      @MJvideos4u 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Google confirms your statement: Scorpions can climb anything with a rough surface. They have little pincers on the end of their feet known as ungues. If the surface is smooth however, like glass or plastic, they can't grip it. Even a smooth metal won't allow them to be able to climb

When you were looking at the pin cushions I was talking to you - you must have heard me ! I think it was early 70s we turned anything with an opening into a pin cushion! My favorite was painting the inside of a souvenir shot glass and then adding the stuff and cover! Ahhh memories! Or flashbacks lol!

Really enjoy the content, I learn so much. Love the antique malls as you point out so many things, and even if you don't buy them, I still learn a lot. At a yard sale recently I picked up 12 Grazia Deruta plates. The colors and design drew me in, but when I saw Italy on the back I remember you talking about Italian Pottery. I scooped them all up for 10$ total! I have already sold one for twice that. The pets are too cute. I miss my fish tanks, but don't have the time for one. I could watch them all day! I took riding lessons when I was in High School, and still have my very large Breyer Horse collection starting from the 60's. I have sold on ebay for many years, small seller, but it is fun, and I hope to do more some day when I retire..Getting close! Thanks again, and Noah's comments on the vids are too funny..;)

Hey Danni.... She asks, Where would you put such large decals? Me in my best hippie voice, On the Van, Man!!! Lol 😆 and oh those stone trees! They just give chills. Coming from a big family wit 6 siblings the tree of life has been my emblem. Owning one of those would be amazing!
Lol! I am watching in the bedroom and chatting away with you and my boyfriend checked in a couple times and finally asked if was talking on the phone. I guess we were having too good of a time shopping together!
I can't wait to see your Halloween decorations in action... those skeletons look like a hoot! And why do we know the music from before our times. I think because TVs weren't as prevalent when we were young and our parents had radio's ir records playing instead of the tube. I know that my Mom favored the Movie soundtrack records like Oklahoma, 7 brides, all of those old musicals I weirdly know a lot of the words.
I am not a 80s duck fan, Ala dusty rose and baby blue, but I like those Mexican style ones.
Is this a different antique mall than the one you went to with Rachel a while back and found lots of sale items?

The dark green ewer is Hampshire Pottery that was made in Keene, NH. They are usually marked "Hampshire Pottery" or "JS Taft" on the bottom. Since yours isn't marked, it is probably an earlier piece. Sadly, prices have gone way down in the last 10 years.

I really enjoyed this visit to the antique mall. I always learn from you! Did you take the adorable horse with you? I didn't see it in the recap. Did I miss it? LoL.
Dani, I have a comment - and I say it with much love 💕!! I notice that when an intention to purchase and flip high end is mentioned, it usually ends up with purchases from comfort zones. I know it has to do with our personal likes and habits. It's hard to deviate from what we know best. I know that from my own experience. I mean no offense whatsoever and hope you know that.
I watch other resale channels too and each is different. I've learned that if I want regular high value purchases, with bigger profits, I need to invest in higher value items. It required a lot of research time because I need to be sure the market supports the pricing needed to make a decent profit. I admit, it's easy to slip into my comfort zone but I'm determined to take my business to the next level. High dollar items can sell slower, so I am supplementing with vintage items that are currently popular or are emotional trigger items.😉 Gotta love the emotional trigger items!😂 I know trigger buying well - I've done plenty of that myself! 😆. I wish the best for you and your family (human, furry, feathered and hard shelled)☺️

I sold one of those Alaskan tiki teapot sets once. I think it went for about $34. I was surprised that comps weren’t higher.

The quality of Fitz and Floyd has gone down. Resale isn't nearly as good as it used to be--smart choice to leave it behind.

There are only 2 rooms in the main house - the master was opened up from being two rooms previously.

You would put the large decals on the back of a t-shirt, on a car, on a motorcycle, on a jacket, on a window, etc etc etc

    Hi Dani…
I have a showcase here at The Paradise antique mall. I have salt and pepper shakers and they are ALL marked. 😃
