I take linseed oil varnish or selfmade blackoil (linseed oil cooked with lead white), never any solvents. The earth pigments normally need 1 day for drying but organic pigments like charcoal black take up to three days.
I don't know who would dislike. I love Caravaggio style and loving these videos.

For the Caravaggio paintings I used lead white.
