This psalm proved true to me when I was in Iraq. No matter what happened around me God protected me and kept me safe. Even when I was angry with God in those moments I know now that He sent his angels to guard me. I remember one firefight we had in the town of Musayyib we were taking fire from an upper level apartment and I heard someone shout to me to move my head and as I did I heard a bullet crack past my head. No one in my vehicle had called out to me and though it took me years to figure it out I now know it was an angel of the Lord.

One of my dearest friends memorized Psalm 91. She died shortly before her 91st birthday in 2018. I then decided to memorize it, too. During Covid, I claimed these promises from God for myself and my family every day by speaking out loud this psalm. I cannot tell you how much peace it brought me. God has anointed this song by Sons of Korah. It brings peace and healing. May God be forever praised. ❤

This passage does not mean that God will not allow these things to happen. There have been many Godly people who believed in this passage and God allowed trouble to come their way to teach them. This, to me, is letting us know God will protect us from the deadly pestilence of sin. To me that is even worse than viruses.

There are not many christian songs that I like more then how Sons of Korah sings them. Direct bible verses that are sung in such a great way, they create masterpieces.

She has kids that take up so much love and suppot and help with everything …. Brit has to continue making content, Brit has many other things to do just to keep up her life, the house, and has to act happy in front of camera. I honestly would be in bed, crying, not coping… she deserves all the help and support we can give her. She is such a sweet pea trying to do it all and now….alone. If I could help I would but I am quite far away… in Canada and I am dealing with my son passing, I lost him, I will never see him again nor hear his voice or smush him, never hear his beautiful laughter again..… and I am completely and totally crushed. I lived for him, he was my everything and now I am completely alone. My mom and brother passed about 6 years ago. Im in a new city and ….I don’t have any reason to go on, not one. In my youthful ambition and desire I get caught up comparing myself to the world and to others instead of trusting in what God has done for me. When I think this way I choose to backslide, and I suffer greatly for it. I've come to God on my own, and as I have, I have sensed that I am going to lead a very painful and lowly life if I embrace faith fully, this feeling stokes the flames of fear in me and often I listen to the fear and clamor to 'improve' my life, and I let go of faith momentarily. It doesnt seem like I can have faith in God and control my life at the same time. Faith is the way. Godbless you for taking the time to touch my heart :)
Hey Jack, Let me assure you that embracing faith in Jesus will not lead to a painful and lowly life, as you say. In fact it is the very opposite of that. God is love and His will for us is always for our good, always for our best. Check out Romans 8:28. It’s a wonderful promise to live by. Also, can I direct you to Psalm 1. I’ve been dealing with some pretty nasty spiritual warfare. I saw this imp in my room this morning. Broke every convention of a sleep paralysis episode I’ve ever experienced. I could speak, move, and was coherent despite feeling some film over my eyes. It was deeply disturbing and I am just so so glad my pastor was as quick to respond.

One of my dearest friends memorized Psalm 91. She died shortly before her 91st birthday in 2018. I then decided to memorize it, too. During Covid, I claimed these promises from God for myself and my family every day by speaking out loud this psalm. I cannot tell you how much peace it brought me. In my youthful ambition and desire I get caught up comparing myself to the world and to others instead of trusting in what God has done for me. When I think this way I choose to backslide, and I suffer greatly for it. I've come to God on my own, and as I have, I have sensed that I am going to lead a very painful and lowly life if I embrace faith fully, this feeling stokes the flames of fear in me and often I listen to the fear and clamor to 'improve' my life, and I let go of faith momentarily. Let me assure you that embracing faith in Jesus will not lead to a painful and lowly life, as you say. In fact it is the very opposite of that. God is love and His will for us is always for our good, always for our best. Check out Romans 8:28. It’s a wonderful promise to live by. Also, can I direct you to Psalm 1. I’ve been dealing with some pretty nasty spiritual warfare. I saw this imp in my room this morning. Broke every convention of a sleep paralysis episode I’ve ever experienced. I could speak, move, and was coherent despite feeling some film over my eyes. It was deeply disturbing and I am just so so glad my pastor was as quick to respond.
