Thank you for this incredibly beautiful and warm episode. When I was a young man, I lived in a country that was enslaved by a communistic regime. The concept of "freedom" was the most important for us at that time. When I was 24, I managed to escape from this country to West Germany. Today it is difficult to describe how happy I felt then. I am wholehearted with all those people who want to be free and who fight for their freedom (I believe in fighting without physical violence) I am waiting for your next episodes. You are doing a really great job.

I’n so glad you escaped, and I truly hope that all countries evolve in this direction, where people can have more freedom while knowing what it means to respect others and spread love and understanding among people!

Taiwan No. 1. Always hard to find learning content with traditional characters. Even when you understand nothing you can always pause and figure out what they say. Very nice format, please more of this!

Nice video , with a great theme. Taiwanese people seem to think very deeply and cherish their freedom highly - they seem like cool people! But the English translation is pretty poor (to put it mildly). Some better translations are:
0:30 When you think of freedom, what three things come to mind?
    0:42 Life, speech, communication.
    0:52 Happiness, lack of restraint
    0:54 Lack of limitations
01:16 It doesn't matter what other people think - my thoughts are my own
01:23 Doing what I want and behaving how I think is right - this is my idea of freedom.
01:41 You might not usually feel that you are enjoying freedom
02:21 Have you ever thought your freedom has been restricted?
02:30 At work, we might need to stay at the office and not leave
02:50 When we were students, our way of thinking and our way of doing things were pretty restricted.
02:56 Yeah, our way of thinking was pretty constricted.
03:03 Which made people feel uncomfortable and terrified (literally "shivering without being cold")
03:09 So when I came back I realised that freedom is very precious
03:33 Because I am self-employed, I'm not under any time pressures
03:40 I like to do lots of bits of work every day - I work when I like, then I rest when I like.
03:48 So basically, I now.. I currently... My work, my life can be described as very flexible, very free.
03:51 When I came back to Taiwan, got off the plane, went through the arrivals gate and was able to see "Welcome home" written there at the airport, that's when I felt really free.
04:06 And it's not like someone's watching your every move all the time.
04:16 That's also true. You're definitely very free when you're single. (Hmmm.... I wonder what freedoms that couple have been enjoying?)
04:36 No need to bother with anyone else's opinion.
05:35 It could be that at first I don't like something
05:59 Under what circumstances could my freedom be sacrificed?
06:09 If you could freely do one thing...
07:23 Well said ("Good saying? " I mean come on...)
07:30 Actually, as long as you're doing things with a clear conscience, then you are free
08:47 First of all, you have to realise that you can't just go around bothering other people, and that being polite is a prerequisite - only then can you give free rein to your freedom.
