I am so glad I watched this. The point on saturation recovery time of op amp is actually extremely important!! I was losing my mind trying to figure out why the thresholds at which output switching occured were WAY off from my design when I was using an MCP602 op amp tested with 2Hz triangle wave input. It turned out to be this saturation recovery time!! Indeed the MCP602's datasheet does not specify overload recovery time, and from my circuit, it seems it is in the range of tens of milliseconds! When I slowed down the input signal to less than 0.25Hz, only then did I see performance more closely matching my spec. Terrible! Such slow recovery is really troublesome for inputs that are even remotely "fast"!!
