    Great Video! But in Manhattan. The Interstate 495 needs a underpass under midtown manhattan. It needs to be the underpass from Lincoln Tunnel to Queens Midtown Tunnel for I-495 in Midtown Manhattan. It will be Trans Midtown Expressway.

      I agree they should build an underpass highway for I-495 across Midtown Manhattan. It should be called the Mid Manhattan Expressway and be built underneath 34th Street from the Lincoln Tunnel to the Queens Midtown Tunnel. It should also extend I-495 New York to Route 495 in New Jersey.

      Michael Miller he drove through Manhattan and over the Lincoln Tunnel which is technically NJ-495 so it counts?

    • @finnrummygaming
      @finnrummygaming 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Michael Miller well freeways naturally divide cities so these fragments prevent this. Also it would’ve been more expensive traversing two rivers and stuff

    • @finnrummygaming
      @finnrummygaming 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Michael Miller I think gang infested is a bit of an exaggeration; there is a lot of crime by night, but constructing an expressway would just cover it up rather than solve anything. If anything it would create more tension since the new divided neighborhoods would concentrate crime into smaller areas.
      I-278 crosses the East River near uptown Manhattan and in Staten Island, which are both rather far from the Holland Tunnel, the only connections would be the Bayonne Bridge, FDR Drive, 36th Street, and the BQE itself.

      Michael Miller wtf did I just read? An escape route from gangs? That’s not a traffic engineer’s job buddy. It’s just not practical building that freeway especially nowadays that Lower Manhattan’s population is booming.

    OMG! The roadways look like they are falling apart. The infrastructure looks very old, neglected, outdated and decaying. USA needs to invest more in its outdated infrastructure. For such a so called "rich" nation, the U.S. has very ugly, neglected, outdated and crumbling infrastructure.
