Great way to get your fix. The absence of bindings really appeals to me. I’ve never really enjoyed snowboarding or wakeboarding, in part, because of the bindings and the barriers for entry. Glad for you that the skatepark has opened again 🤙

As a fellow Ontarian I gotta say try powder snowskating as well! (Powskate?). Powsurfing is the best when snow is good, but powskate is my go-to 90% of the time. Works on both powder and harder snow. Can link some pretty long lines combinging steeper powder and mellower packed trails. Also wicked in the spring shredding the last morsels slush on warm sunny days!

Just got into it this year! Love having both as options in this never ending winter

Great content as always Mark and another thing to add to my must have list. Quick question. You mentioned it works better on powder snow not commercial ski slope with harder snow, but can it rides there as well?

No, you really need at least 5 inches of soft snow to be able to make turns. With a regular snowboard your bindings let you dig your edges into hardpacked snow because when you lift your heel, your toe edge will dig in (and vice versa). Without bindings you need that accumulated snow to be able to get the board on rail or it will just slide out.

Hey you never know - if climate change messes up the Gulf Stream then all that rain could become snow!
