How to celebrate Beltane | Walpurgisnacht Witch Vlog

Today you can celebrate Beltane with me.
Now what is the spring Beltane / Walpurgisnacht in its core and what do we celebrate besides the nearing of summer? In Beltane lay the pagan origins of Mayday and today I want to share some folklore and pagan traditions with you, give you Beltane ritual ideas and of course, do someWalpurgisnacht-themed kitchen witchery.
In today's Beltane celebration we will collect magick water in the first sunrises of the new day, make a wonderful aphrodisiac cottage witch Beltane spell, learn about Walpurgisnacht and the different customs and traditions surrounding Beltane, chat about the Maypole in Bavaria, bake delicious dandelion cupcakes and of course, celebrate Blertane together.
In other words: a wonderfully, magical witch vlog for this pagan holiday :)

Dandelion cupcakes:
• 5 TBSP dandelion petals
• 100g Yoghurt or buttermilk
• 80 g (dandelion) honey
• 1 egg
• 60ml olive oil
• 135g flour
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• Some vanilla sugar or vanilla extract
• Pinch of salt
• Zest of 1 lemon
• 1 squeeze lemon juice

And tomorrow I'll be celebrating by upgrading my tiny window herb garden, setting up an altar and following a Beltane guided meditation with visualization. Finally my partner and I will surely celebrate with some sexy time together :3

On Walpurgis I will plant my peas and my bonfire will be the huge pile of construction scraps that has been accumulating from all of our renovation projects (nothing toxic, I promise.) We are much further from warm weather than you are. That doesn't come until at least mid-May and sometimes much later. Love you, your channel, and those two adorable children.

Hey! This was such an absolute delight. You and your content is so wholesome, and also aesthetic at the same time. I'm an Indian, and just starting out in this craft. I'm so happy to learn about these pagan festivals as I had no idea about them. These North European practices, although have reached the world, it's very rare for me to stumble across this gem. I wish, I can fully practice the pagan rituals someday!

Edit to Add: I used a loaf pan and they didn't rise as I'd like (probably needed 2 mins longer) but its delicious and fills me with bright sunny energy. Thank you thank you, ill be collecting more dandelions to craft this again 🤩

Good luck! Last year, Beltane was the first sabbat I celebrated (as a witch, hadnt heard about sabbats before hand, but, ykyk) , so i might be a little biased to say its a good one to start off with hehe
Thanks to both of you! It won’t be exactly how I hoped to celebrate as I’m in the process of moving. I’m sure next year will be a more festive celebration with doing some art and things. I’m still very excited to do something small even if it’s going for a walk with my dog. For me even knowing that it’s a sabbat and trying to put good energy out in the world on this particular day fills me with joy! Being a new baby witch has opened a bigger world of delight. ✨🦋🌻💗

We aren’t really supposed to grow sweet woodruff here because it’s invasive (it’s sold but I can’t grow it in good conscience) so maybe I’ll try it if I can make it to Germany some day!
Oh thaaaank you - I just love him to pieces 😄 maywine is soooo good but it is true that sweet Woodruff spreads like crazy. Here it grows wild in most forests, so it is easy to get but I also have a plant in a container. Would definitely not plant that into free soil though 😄 if you ever come to Germany,let me know and I make you a batch of May wine hihi

Thank you, lovely Alina 💚 I can only recommend getting a tiny troll haha it works wonders on ones motivation to get up early to get at least an hour alone 😂 the Woodruff mainly gives you headaches if you use it after it has bloomed because then the levels of cumin are extremely high - but it also just might be the alcohol in some cases hihi and so glad to hear you enjoy those vlogs - they are actually my favourite videos to make!
Little Sir 🥰🥰 getting bigger every day. I’ve always danced around the idea of working with dandelion mostly because of what my Grandmother used to tell us as kids. She would say that if we picked them, we would wet the bed at night. 😬😳😆 I now know (obviously 😄) that THIS is NOT true but, still can’t bring myself to cook with them. Silly me!
I have NEVER heard about that before hahah I wonder were that comes from 😄 our garden is just covered in them and I just can't waste free food haha so we are eating dandelion-something every second day in spring 😂

Here in Sweden, Walpurgisnacht is called “Valborg” and there are huge bonfires lit up and down the country and people gather around- although due to corona that ain’t happening.
Looking forward to my first Beltane/Valborg as a baby witch, gonna be baking those delicious looking dandelion cakes!

I have not idea why I haven't found your channel earlier, but I am very, very glad it showed up as a TH-cam suggestion... I hit the "Subscribe" button at most 1/3 of the way through and am looking forward to binge-viewing your channel in the next day or two! :-) By the way, a maypole may be a "wink wink nudge nudge" suggestion about what the holiday is really for, but the Japanese festival of Kanama Matsuri doesn't bother with alliteration, suggestion, or hidden meanings in any way... Just don't look it up online if youngsters can see the screen!

@@Thewitchescookery Thank you for your well wishes! I did actually manage to use some advice from this video and another one and made a little Beltane festival for my altar. I laid out some dandelions and apple blossoms and fruit on a green cloth, cleaned out my fountain and turned it on, wreathed a fun *wink wink* body lotion candle in sticks and wildflowers to be my bonfire, and made a desktop maypole using my best inking brush as the pole. It's my most powerful magical tool, as I'm a comics artist and illustrator by trade. Hopefully this will bring me an abundance of creative ideas and some much needed romance. ;) Be blessed!

Am here in Germany about 150 miles from Blocksberg but Corona let all be locked down no being outside from 2200 till 0500 next morning, nor groups together. But I celebrate myself with oatcakes and hot chilli stew and candles to keep the evil spirits out.
Hopefully I can go to the Blocksberg next Beltane to see the spectacle once again as a fire witch

Loved this video! I have a hard time thinking of Dandelions as anything other than horrible weeds in the grass. I used to have to weed them out of the grass when I was a little kid. (possibly as a punishment for doing something naughty) HA!
